Ruffino’s is an Arlington mainstay. And many are the dinners my wife and I have enjoyed there. Memorable are mussels (ask for red sauce), the soups (particularly the minestrone ) are tasty, the chicken parm is as good as you will find. The decor is basic. The drinks are tall. With just a dash of background music, the establishment is quiet enough that you can easily converse. Service is attentive and friendly. Prices are on the low side for drinks and food.

I lived in Italy for many years so I have high standards when it comes to Italian food & rarely expect the same standards from “Italian food” in the US or other countries.
But the Calamari was very good nonetheless, & while I asked for a glass of very dry white wine to go with it, I didn’t get one from the service that evening. It was a mash-up of whatever white wine he had I suspect because it was awful. The rest of the meal was forgettable though my companion was happy with his spaghetti but said it wasn’t anything special either.
I’d say that I won’t be returning

Just stopped in to have an early dinner. The food and service were excellent. The atmosphere has changed. No pics on the walls. We were the only patrons in the dining room. No one else came in which was sad as this place is a wonderful gem. Food has always been delicious. Parking is tricky. But there are spaces in the alley behind with an entrance to the restaurant. Never disappointed!

Owner (I think? bald older guy who also was the bartender and server) was crazy rude. Came to pick up my food and he spoke to me as rudely as I’ve experienced at a restaurant. felt like I was bothering him just by being there. Completely unprofessional and explains why the restaurant was next to empty. won’t be coming back.

Food was great. We tried the tuscany soup, cheesy garlic bread, spaghetti, and vodka sauce. I would definitley come back again to try more.
We almost didn’t get the bread because of the bad reviews, but good thing we did. It was buttery, crispy and cheesy…as it should be.
The vodka sauce was flavorful! I agree it could have been creamier but flavor wise it was on point.
Every thing else was spot on and I would order again.

I had heard and until today, believed, that even a bad pizza is a good thing. My lunch today from Ruffino’s Spaghetti House proved that when the crust, the sauce, and the cheese are all look awful and taste even worse, a pizza can be a very bad thing. I would have been okay with that; Lesson learned, move on, right? Unfortunately, though the privilege of paying $24 for this no-topping was too much for me to not rant for a moment. I sincerely hope that their other offerings are significantly better, but if you ever happen to be at Ruffino’s, do yourself an immense favor and steer clear of their pizza.

We’re in town celebrating my daughters birthday and she loves Italian. Thankfully I found this when searching for Italian spots. My 6 y/o and 8 y/o gave this spot a 5 out of 5. So did the grown ups! If you are having a difficult time deciding where to eat, don’t hesitate and come here! All our dinners were delicious and a BIG portion

I stopped by for a meal when I was in town. The stuffed Marsala was excellent as were the stuffed mushrooms. Finished it off with a cannoli. The owner was a great guy to talk to while waiting for my food to arrive. Very friendly. Would definitely go back next time I’m in the DC area. I took an Uber and couldn’t enter from Langston Blvd.. Parking and entrance are in the rear of the restaurant.

My first time ordering from Ruffino’s through Uber Eats. It took over 2 hours for the delivery. I ordered 2 hot sandwiches. One of them was the Sausage and Peppers sandwich. It should of been named the Peppers and Cheese sandwich. There was hardly any sausages on the sandwich. The sausage is sliced the size of nickles. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT order this sandwich unless you want a green pepper sandwich. I won’t be ordering from this place ever again. Recommend you don’t either.
