Normally fairly decent, but today we went in, my mother ordered a coffee flavor, that they didn’t have. Which is fine, it happens. We just asked for a refund, where Tara told us they don’t do refunds, asked to replace it with a cheaper drink and not give us any refund. We just wanted the refund because they didn’t have the item we wanted. She kept profusely refusing to give us a refund and kept naming things off to give us instead, after a few minutes of refusing she called the manager over, who said the refund was fine. It was an excessively long conversation with a rude employee when she could have just asked the manager from the get go. Not only was she unnecessarily rude to my mother, but she was mean to the young lady working to resolve the issue from the beginning.
The hot and spicy chicken sandwich also was just a dry hard bun and chicken… they forgot the mayo and lettuce.
several bites, the taste was strange but it was because it was burned, then I saw the meat more than pink and removed it from the rest of my burger, the other one seemed to be well cooked, I checked my husband and daughter’s burger and they were well cooked (although they had a burnt taste) just over 60 dollars for a bad meal and a stomach infection.
UPDATE: The McDonald’s team contacted me, they asked me to go to the doctor and send them the information, also the supervisor called me this Friday to find out how my health is and told me that the insurance company would contact me next week, she told me that they reviewed the videos and their temperature system etc and that indeed the meat was one of those they have raw and that they always take special care to verify that they are well cooked but for some reason on this occasion this incident happened, she apologized and has been attentive, the truth is I did not think they would take action on the matter, I am happy to see that they genuinely care about their customers so I will update how this case concludes, for now I am waiting for follow-up
UPDATE 10/27/25
Exactly what I knew would happen, happened. They told me, “The insurance will call you.” Guess what? No one ever did. That was TWO WEEKS AGO. I’ve called, I’ve sent messages, and all I get is, “We already sent the information, it’s out of our hands.”
Honestly, I didn’t expect them to actually do anything — but pretending to care just makes it worse. If they weren’t planning to take responsibility, they should’ve ignored the case from the start instead of lying about it.
Now it’s pretty clear: they don’t care about their customers. And I’m sure they won’t lose sleep over one less customer — because that’s how big chains like McDonald’s get where they are, right? By not caring about people.
Then it became habitual
Now it’s expensive and we are just used to eating garbage.
Consistently underwhelming and no redeeming factor. I didn’t see the reason to go to McDonald’s anymore.
Where’s the draw? I paid $22 for a 2 Burger meal and a coffee. I can sit down and get a decently nice meal for that.
Late stage capitalism at its best. Good luck to you McDonald’s. You’re not getting another dollar out of me
I am always impressed how clean they keep it with all the business they get.
Their crew is courteous and the place is clean. I have been stopping here on the way to play in the snow for 30 years.
Yes it’s just another McDonald’s but the owner hires people that clean and know what customer service is all about.
Let them know Brian sent you!
