Lucile’s on Logan is a true Denver gem. It’s a family-run spot with multiple locations, and they consistently serve up incredible gumbo, biscuits, beignets, and some of the best Bloody Marys around.

They recently hosted their second annual Mardi Gras & Mardi Paws celebration in collaboration with Ella’s Events, and it was such a fun, festive experience. Between the DJ, tarot card readings, and hands-down the best puppy parade I’ve ever seen, it was the perfect community event.

When I first moved to Denver, Lucile’s on Logan was one of the very first places I tried. I immediately fell in love with the patio and firepit—it meant I could bring my dog, Kameron MacMiller, stay warm, and feel right at home. I ordered the gumbo, and it came with a biscuit and homemade jam that instantly reminded me of my grandma’s cooking. That experience alone helped convince me to move to the Wash Park area.

Monica and Jersey were some of my first friendly faces in the neighborhood, and that hospitality has stuck with me ever since. I love the family- and pet-friendly vibes here, and special events like Mardi Gras are such a great way to bring the community together, create memories, and build real connections with neighbors. Lucile’s isn’t just a restaurant—it’s part of the neighborhood.

Born and raised in Louisiana I’m always looking for restaurants that can give me a taste of home. The beignets here were as close to Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans as I feel I can get. The omelette and potatoes had very little seasoning but I added my own which honestly I prefer instead of something being overly salty. The gravy was delicious and went well with my biscuit and I added some on my potatoes. Will definitely be back with the family.

A friend and I had Sunday brunch and couldn’t have had a better experience. The only downside was not being able to try everything on the menu all at once… but we’ll be back!

We started with beignets and cafe au lait (a requirement). I ordered the shrimp and grits which came with a biscuit and their homemade jam.

The hostess greeted us and mentioned this is a scratch kitchen, everything is homemade from scratch. We were seated outside with a covered patio. The warm Beignets with homemade blueberry jam is amazing. My plate of biscuits and sausage gravy, red beans, cheesy grits and potatoes was fantastic. The staff is very friendly and and down to earth. I highly recommend!!!

I’ve been here s few times but tried a sandwich for the first time, and it was amazing as everything I’ve ever had here. I had a steak po’boy and, no joke, even the ketchup was next level. Mimosa was also on point!

One of a small chain of breakfast/lunch places that are meant to evoke New Orleans. The menu is the same as the Evans location, but is executed better at Evans. The bigness were crispy on the edges and a bit dense in the middle. They won’t make you forget Cafe du Monde. The chicory coffee was fine. The cheese omelet was pretty basic. The eggs sardou are a much better choice. The potatoes were tasty.

Service was fast and welcoming. The space is nicely decorated and comfortable. The outstanding feature is the outdoor seating when it’s not to hot. They did not seem to have a Wi-Fi connection

There is a small lot, but parking may be limited when the other businesses are open. It’s adequate in the morning when they are not open.

I think when it comes to going out for breakfast, many of the foods served can be easily made at home but I can’t say the same thing for Lucile’s. Their menu items are certainly unique and always delicious.

I don’t think you can go wrong with anything served here and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. My one complaint is that when I ordered the blackened salmon (highly recommended), I did not receive the buttermilk biscuit that comes with the order! Unfortunately, I had not known that it came with my order until afterwards which was a little upsetting.

My girlfriend and I almost had a disastrous and failed lunch, but we were rescued by the always reliable Lucile’s. We first attempted lunch at Rebel Bread’s café, but they were out of most sandwiches due to a missed delivery. Leven Supply was our second stop, but they had been seized by the State due to unpaid taxes!

Fortunately Lucile’s is right across Alameda Avenue from Leven and we found them humming along at their usual pace. We were greeted by Brad, a particularly friendly, personable, and efficient server and soon seated in the comfortable dining room which features just the right number of New Orleans-themed tchotchkes.

My girlfriend ordered Eggs Sardou which features creamed spinach, Gulf shrimp, poached eggs, and Hollandaise. She chose the jalapeño cheese grits. I had Eggs Pontchartrain with pan-fried mountain trout, poached eggs, and Béarnaise plus the plain cheese grits.

My girlfriend had never been to Lucile’s. She was thrilled with her dish. The spinach was particularly creamy and savory. Absolutely delicious. My meal was also excellent. Every item was perfectly prepared.

I haven’t even mentioned the buttermilk biscuits which are each a meal in themselves and come out at the peak of perfection.

Lucile’s is one of my favorites. Anyone can find a delicious choice there.

Biscuit and gravy a success. The gravy has so much flavor. The absolute best hollandaise sauce here, exactly how I’d make it fully acidic plenty of lemon. Just got a side to try and will have to come back for bennies next time in Denver. The Cuban OJ is one I’ve never seen before I don’t think, fresh oj rum yum, was a good substitute for a mimosa
