We have been going to Grand Rivers for years and have never went to T. Lawson’s. So we decided to try it and we were not disappointed.
The atmosphere is awesome!! The food is fantastic and the service is great. There is a full size bar within the restaurant.
On weekend evenings they have a piano player and he is great

I have been too many places. Drove by this place several times. Decided to go. Wow! I wish I would’ve came here years ago. We decided to go on a whim….on a weekend. We got extremely lucky. The locals know this place is good. We had to sit at the bar bc there was no room or tables were reserved. Service was magnificent. My only complaint there is they didn’t have enough craft beer for my taste. One is not enough. Your business is surrounded by brewers/breweries. Take advantage of it & help sell the local brews. The food was delicious. The nachos are massive. & tacos are a lil spicy for “just chipotle”. We could have stayed longer. Wasn’t hurried to leave or anything. Service was amazing. There were people waiting. So, we decided to leave to make room for others. On the weekends, go before 5. Or call to reserve. That being said, the place is small. Too small for how popular it is. I will go back. Bc case impressed with the food & service. But it’s like a date night place. An added bonus. They have or had(that night) a piano player playing for half the time we’re there. Kinda gave a classy vibe.

What a really nice place, so comfortable. Decor is old historic. Menu had some great items, however I chose to eat light. Food was delicious service was too notch. Excellent experience.

It’s our first time eating here and it was a great experience. The service was great and Cassie, our waitress, was phenomenal. She was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable of all items on the menu. The chicken nachos were fabulous and the nachos are actually homemade. I also can’t say enough about the pianist. He had absolutely amazing talent and it was a pleasure to listen to him play. This establishment as well as this community is very fortunate to have this musician.

Live piano player and food was amazing. Loved the double pork chop and shrimp and grits. Had the onion straws and cheese curds for appetizer, would highly recommend the onion straws, cheese curds were good but not to kid friendly because it’s a sharp white cheddar.

I ranked it a 41/2… It was our first time there and we’ll certainly be back. Our server was Katie and she was very helpful. I also might add that she was attentive without being annoying. (Not asking us every 10 minutes something) So she certainly gets a full 5 stars. When we arrived, there wasn’t a wait time even tho they were very busy. We were seated without a wait. I ordered the brisket sandwich and it was very good. The portion size was great as well as the drinks. The pricing wasn’t bad either. We’ve been across the street many times to Patties and Patties is waaaay over priced for a restaurant much like cracker barrel only better atmosphere… So T Lawson’s grill is much like I expected. I will probably go there instead of patties from now on. For me, it was worth the hour drive to get there A nice day for a drive.

Came on a Thursday. I only ate French fries, which were great. However, the bar and the bartender, Jessica, were the centerpieces of the whole place! It’s a whole experience! The ambiance is always spot on and I always enjoy it here!!

The pretzel was the best thing we had. I got the beat salad. It said shareable so I figured large portion and it was lacking size. Flavor was decent, I would get it again. My youngest got a fried chicken sandwich with bbq on the side. Glad we did because it was spicy and nothing warns about it. My oldest (11) got the gnocchi and she enjoyed it. But it was an adult portion so she didn’t eat all of it. My husband got the shrimp and grits. He said it was good but the grits were under and dry. They had a crunchy bite to them. Now the pretzel and beer cheese is a must!! We would go back just to eat that. Walked out with a bill of $151 including 20% tip. Military discount available which was nice. The piano player was great when he played, took a lot of breaks but it was the end of the night. I took 2 stars off for the time it took the kitchen to get our order out. 1h 15m is ridiculous for the restaurant only having 7 tables.

Fantastic meal! I had the Tuscan chicken with brussel sprouts and potatoes. It was the best I’ve ever eaten. So much flavor I wanted to lick the plate.
