If you find yourself in Dripping Springs and need a solid caffeine fix or a bite to eat, the Great British Baking Company is worth a stop. It isn’t just a bakery; it’s a well-stocked shop that manages to balance a local cafe feel with a genuine UK influence.
The selection covers both ends of the spectrum. You can grab sweet tarts and cakes or opt for their savory pastries, which are great for a quick lunch. Beyond the fresh bakes, they have shelves lined with British candy and snacks that are usually hard to find in Central Texas. They serve a full range of coffee and other beverages to round out the menu.
The layout is designed for staying a while. Between the comfortable tables and the sofa, it’s a functional spot for a meeting or reading.
A few logistical pluses:
* Parking: There is plenty of space, so you won’t have to circle the block.
* Service: The staff is consistently friendly and goes out of their way to be accommodating.
It’s a straightforward, welcoming place that does the basics right without any unnecessary fuss.

I was so pleasantly surprised to find this little gem tucked away in the middle of Dripping Springs! It was completely unexpected, but the food truly blew me away. The meat pies were incredible — we tried the steak pie, sausage roll, and chicken pot pie, and each one was absolutely delicious.
They also offer a great selection of British snacks, candies, and fresh bakery items — everything tasted authentic and freshly made. I really enjoyed my visit and can’t wait to go back again!

Everything was delicious & perfectly baked. Steak pie, lamb roll sausage roll, Scotch egg, financier, millionaire shortbread, we loved all of it. Probably the best pastry I’ve had in Austin. Can’t wait to come back

Surprised to find this shop in a small town in Texas. Had to visit.
The smell of spice and baked goods hits you as soon as you walk in. The employees greet you right away and are friendly.
I got the Steak Pie and Jalapeno Cheddar roll. I thought the Steak Pie was better, but both are good
Highly recommend this bakery for a unique experience and menu

Amazed and pleasantly surprised to find this shop. Fabulous Sausage rolls (jalapeno especially was awesome) but so was the Millionaire Shortbread. Best outside the UK.

Decided to drive the 40 mins to try this place out. I really love British hand pies and am a connoisseur of sorts. I purchased a few things to try. Started with the classic sausage roll. Great flavor but quite salty. I’m not sensitive to salt but paired with an ice cold beer to balance this out would be perfect. I then tried the steak pie and I would honestly say go there for that as a priority. Wonderful flavor, tender steak pieces and succulent gravy; I wish they made this into a mini individual round pie as it’s just perfect. Pair the filling with mashed potatoes; game over. Also got the chicken pot pie and potato pie which were solid and the raspberry blueberry tart which was good without being too sweet. I’m going to dream about that steak hand pie though…

First time here so I tried the plum financier and a sausage roll. Both tasted very good. A little disappointed I didn’t hear anyone with a British accent though.
This is one of those small get in, order, get out shops and had small selections.

The pies are solid here! Our favorites are the lamb roll, chicken curry pie and potato pie. The pies are a bit on the expensive but they are tasty and filling, making them worth it.
The potato pie is cheesy and so indulgent. The chicken curry has a nice spice mix but not spicy at all with nice chunks of chicken.

What a fabulous treasure we discovered as we were traveling around Texas. As a Scotsman living in NY, myself and my husband were on vacation in Texas. We stopped off at this quaint village to have a lunch break and to our surprise we discovered this wonderful bakery.
It’s a fabulous homemade bakery with savoury and sweet classics from the UK. As well as the amazing baked goods they have a selection of sweets and confectionery! The staff and owner were very friendly and they had a lovely Coby seating area that’s tastefully decorated and clean. It’s highly recommended. Thank you.

Friendly staff and a great place for all sorts of baked pies and more. The only problem was trying to decide which ones to order because there were some many great options. We decided on trying the classic sausage rolls and a breakfast bake. Both were amazing with flaky bread and delicious fillings. We are already planning our next visit and which ones to try next time. Their coffee options were great as well.
