Me and my wife absolutely love this establishment. My wife is there more often than me. The drinks are phenomenal, the staff. It is excellent, though waiting staff. The bartending staff to the bartenders, they’re all excellent, beautiful souls, lovely people which carry on great conversation. The food top-notch recommend that chicken tenders they are the best
And the atmosphere is really good. It’s an old tap room that just has great music. Great atmosphere. And when problems arise, they are very quick to handle them. And remove them so that you can get back to enjoying your night.Five stars all the way

Olde Hickory Tap Room for a relaxed Saturday evening dinner. Very enjoyable.
Food:
Classic chicken tenders – their specialty. These massive tenders are breasts cut into tender and fried to perfection. Amazing crust and tender. It’s a big portion so be prepared to take some home! I would say, best tenders I have ever had. We got the potato salad as a side which was creamy, mustardy, and filled with pickles. Loved it.
Service:
Wait staff were busy but very friendly. We did have a 30 minute wait but used it ti enjoy the beautiful downtown of Hickory, N.C. However, we did spend 2 hours here and only got chicken tenders…
Ambiance:
Lowkey bar vibe but still good for families.
Location:
Nestled in downtown Hickory. Beautiful. Plenty of parking. Nice walk.

Olde Hickory Tap Room was recommended by the locals, so we decided to try it. The food was very good and the service was wonderful. We stopped it for lunch and the portions were big. Took our servers recommendations and they did not disappoint. They do their own blue cheese and warm it before adding it to the burger, the best I’ve ever had. Will try more dishes next time I’m in Hickory.

A good, local, place. I got the Reuben and my family got the jerk chicken sandwich, mozzarella sticks, & porta bella burger. All were fantastic. Fair portion sizes but nothing crazy. Service was a bit slow but it was the Sunday lunch rush so it was understandable. They seemed a little understaffed so I don’t blame the server. The dining room is decorated with beer memorabilia and local history art. A pretty neat little place.

Olde Hickory Tap Room is easily one of our favorite places to eat in Hickory. The food is simply amazing every time, whether we’re dining inside or grabbing it to go and sitting outside while the kids run around and play. It’s the perfect setup for a relaxed family meal without feeling rushed.
Our go-to order is “The Martin” for my wife and I and wings for the kids, but honestly, everything on the menu is delicious and there are so many great options to choose from. The atmosphere is welcoming, the service is always solid, and it has that classic pub feel that makes you want to stay awhile.
Great food, great vibe, and a great spot for both families and a casual night out. Olde Hickory Tap Room is one of the best restaurants in town.

Just left on Saturday 1/17- worst dining experience ever. My spouse and toddler ordered a simple appetizer and meal. App never came. Manager came by and said it would be given to us and compensated. Well the app was given to another table right in front of us and the patrons were super surprised they were getting free food. We waited for close to an hour for the main meal.
The side of vegetables were soggy and cold. Poor wait staff, poor management.

Arrived at 4:30 on a Saturday for happy hour & dinner before a concert. There was a table available in the bar area for our party of five. Service was good, and the food was delicious. Had not been to the Tap Room in several years. Will definitely be returning again soon!

My server was amazing, as well as the drinks. However, this was probably one of the worst steaks I’ve ever eaten. Absolutely ZERO seasoning, the grill marks are the only reason I can say it wasn’t cooked in a microwave. The sides were not great either. No seasoning on the broccoli and the “Irish root roast” was soft and definitely boiled.
