We ordered Pakora, Tandoori chicken, Aloo Gobi, Dal Tadka, & Samosas. I’ve eaten homemade Indian food as well as Indian food from local food trucks and markets. I also know how to cook Indian curries at home. The food was terrible. It wasn’t spicy at all in spite of ordering medium spice. The Pakora was dried out and obviously not served fresh. The sabji (curry) was watery with too much oil. The tandoori Naan was drenched in ghee. My friend barely ate 2 pieces of her Tandoori chicken due to the lack of flavor. I ended up feeling sick from all the butter or oil.
I would skip this Instagrammable place and head to a food truck or a much less fancy Indian food market for tasty flavorful Indian food.
Veteran owned and wonderful service!!! Come for food, just for drinks or both. This place is beautiful inside. Don’t let the strip mall fool you. You’ll be transported to another place once you step inside.
Came in for lunch, got sat almost instantly, was provided their main menus, waited about 5 minutes, then I had to wave down our server to ask for their brunch menu, after she gave it to us she instantly asked if we were ready to order… had to tell her we needed a moment to look over the menus she just handed over. The food took about 40 minutes to come out, in which we had finished our waters during that time.. didn’t get a refill till the food came out. Couple of tables who ordered after us got their food first, we were really hoping we’d get an explanation when the food came out. But not one word was said, even during our meals we never got a “how’s everything” check in, no water refills either during the meal. Sadly as delicious as everything was… half way thru our meal, there was something rock hard in the food… like a small bone, we never saw our server again, so no one to inform even if we wanted to. Once we finished, I had to flag someone for our check, which was fairly quick, we just paid and left. No one said thank you or bye…
Service may be calm and quiet but not attentive or friendly. Food, ambience, music choice and level, cleanliness were all up to par. Our selections were small but expected since it was their “brunch” menu, but still very filling. Overall, unlikely to return.
Another lucky find!
Finding a good Indian restaurant around Fresno is like playing food lottery — too many options, and half of them just confuse your stomach. But this one actually turned out great!
I started with Achari Aloo — baby potatoes swimming in spicy achari (pickle-style) sauce with bell peppers and onions. Looked fancy, tasted good, but honestly, after 2-3 pieces my tongue said, “Bro, that’s enough patato adventure for today.”
Then came Kadi Pakora — pure Punjabi soul food. That perfect tangy yogurt flavor hit right at the spot! Most restaurants miss that sour twist, but not this one. Only mistake? I didn’t know rice doesn’t come with it… so I was sitting there eating it like soup, dreaming of rice that never arrived.
Lachchha Paratha — full marks. Crispy, layered, golden, just how grandma would’ve approved it.
And finally, the Shahi Tukda — oh boy, the real king of the evening . Sweet, soft, rich, and dangerously addictive. I’m pretty sure I’ll start craving it again tomorrow.
Overall — a solid win! Fresno’s food scene gave me one more reason to smile (and one more reason to hit the gym).
I ordered chicken pakora for appetizers, it’s not testy at all and not crispy. very ordinary. out of 2/10.
I ordered Chicken tikka masala, it’s good, gravy is great. out of 8/10.
I ordered Garlic Bread, it’s nothing, they don’t know even how to make it. It’s super poor. Out of 00/10.
Overall it’s good environment but not good for food.
service is not great, specially servers English communication is very poor, they are looking sad people, they are not welcome us and not even giving us bye
