We started with a mixed appetizer platter with fresh summer rolls, crispy spring rolls, and fried wontons. Everything tasted incredibly fresh. The summer rolls with shrimp and herbs were especially delicious, and the dipping sauces, particularly the peanut sauce topped with crushed peanuts, were perfectly balanced.
For the main course, we had stir fried noodles with broccoli and tender meat. The noodles were well seasoned and flavorful, the vegetables were fresh and still nicely crisp.
The beef soup was clear, aromatic, and comforting, a great addition to the meal.
On top of the amazing food, the service was very friendly and attentive. We felt welcome from the moment we walked in.
Portions are reasonable, and the meat is fairly standard.
The combo options are well put together.
Since there weren’t many customers when we arrived, the food came out fairly quickly.
Overall, it’s a decent, straightforward place.
I order Pho Wagyu Sliced Steak.
My daughter likes Pho Traditional Combo is also good!
We entered into the restaurant and was greeted by the host. We had first said let’s see the menu the minute we said that her “host” face had changed like “oh god they’re probably not gonna come in or whatever”. Needless to say, we did end up, sitting down, and her demeanor changed yet again. Go figure. I just read people very well.
Our server was very sweet and gracious, and very attentive.
We did sit in the back part of the restaurant which I didn’t really care for. The servers stay back there and it’s not exactly picked up …you know far as like straw papers on the floor, etc.
For this being in downtown Burbank, you would also expect them to be playing some kind of music in the background. You know just for a little bit of ambience.
My daughter ordered chicken Pho and I ordered the fillet mignon Pho. I also ordered spring rolls with shrimp. The fillet Pho was so tender and the broth was so flavorful. My daughter loved her Pho. I also tasted it and it was very good. The shrimp spring rolls actually were a little on the dry side and they were missing the Vietnamese basil inside. That just makes these morsels taste even and better bursting with flavor.
Besides the slight “tude” of the host, the paper cups for water; this place is a must try. I have other dishes from here and never had a complaint.
