We went to Glow Restaurant for their New Year’s Eve prix fixe ($75 per person) and left pretty disappointed.
The soup was good but only a few spoonfuls. The Caesar salad was honestly laughable — very cheap lettuce, a lemon wedge on the plate, and the driest piece of baguette I’ve ever been served. The pea tortellini was tasty but again just a few bites. The steak (ordered medium-rare) came out dry, like it had been cooked earlier and reheated. Chicken was fine, but nothing special for the price. Dessert was light and enjoyable.
Drinks were plentiful but very overpriced. Music was way too loud. Kudos to the DJ, but just way too high a decibel for a regular dinner venue (not a club…). The one highlight was the service — genuinely lovely staff who did their best.
Glow isn’t a terrible restaurant, but for $75 on New Year’s Eve, we expected much better food and portions. We left wishing we’d gone somewhere else.

My partner and I are having a pre-Christmas celebration today Dev 24 around 3pm. We had steak, pasta, wraps and dessert. We had some desserts for take out. While eating I decided to go to the washroom wash my hands and lessen the amount of liquid I take. Before I came in there were two teenagers I think they are sisters when I was in the cubicle before they headed out they turned off the lights while I am in the cubicle. Yeah gee what a joke right?! Good thing I wore my contact lenses cuz I am half blind. Not a good experience what if I have anxiety or something? When I told this to my partner he was frustrated and wanted to confront them but then again it’s Christmas so we let it go. But the experience for the whole dining experience was totally awesome Ashleigh was so great even though they are down staff today cuz its Christmas. They are awesome perfect service, food is great and above and beyond. I loved it. We will come back soon. Merry Christmas glo staffs you guys are awesome today

This was such a great location for my partner and I to choose to splurge for one night of our vacation. The food was absolutely incredible. I ended up getting the Cedar roasted sockeye salmon… And oh my gosh, I tried to savor every last bite. My partner got the surf and turf steak, which was also absolutely phenomenal. I couldn’t recommend a date night here more there was a DJ, amazing lighting… Very romantic. Just be sure to get reservations!

We were seated immediately despite being warned of a wait, though we did have to stick to a strict one hour time limit. The food and drinks were the highlight. The Blackened Creole Chicken was excellent and the house lager is actually reasonably priced. The calamari was also a hit.
The only real downside is the layout. The tables are packed pretty tight so you end up hearing every conversation around you. Plus the location right next to the dump is a bit unfortunate. Overall a solid experience.

Glo was a great experience for my first visit. I had the blackened Salmon Alfredo which was very good. I also tried the Bellini which was different than what I’m used to but still tasty. I also tried the apple crumble cheesecake special which was a delight. There were plenty of options on the menu and more that I would like to come back for to try. We sat on the patio and enjoyed an incredible Victoria sunset here! The atmosphere is casual but still nice and clean. The street parking was a bit difficult to find but it was free. Lots of space in the restaurant so I imagine it would be easy to walk-in in most cases without a reservation (which is what we did). I came here with my sister who has a fish and tree nut allergy and she had no issues whatsoever.

Circular designed restaurant which allows for views of the harbour from every angle. It has the perfect ambiance, not loud even though the restaurant was busy. Particularly good for those who are sound sensitive and still want to go out and enjoy upscale dining with excellent service. We were a table of four celebrating my nephew’s graduation from Engineering, we were not disappointed with the quality of the food, everything was so delicious. Calamari and tuna tatami to start… the tuna tatami was tantalizingly good. Steak, ribs and chicken, braised short rib, cedar roasted sockeye salmon… everything was too perfection. Best cedar plank cooked salmon! Braised short rib — tasty and jusicy, not salty or over done. Chicken juicy inside with a crisp on the outside. Steak was also excellent. Unfortunately we devoured the food and didn’t take photos. We did capture the photo of the xtra care for my nephew’s dessert. He also enjoyed an espresso martini! Cheers!

Glo is hands down one of the best dining experiences in Victoria. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere hits — modern, vibrant, and perfectly set right on the waterfront. The views alone are worth it, especially around sunset.
The food? Unreal. Every dish is beautifully presented and packed with flavor. You can tell they don’t cut corners on quality. Whether you’re going for brunch, date night, or drinks with friends, the menu has something that actually feels elevated, not basic.
The service was just as impressive — attentive, friendly, and on point without being overbearing. Everything came out quick and exactly how we wanted it.
