It’s not fancy. In fact, it’s downright homey. But, it’s clean, friendly and has the best fried catfish I’ve ever eaten. It is out of the way. Worth driving to as a destination for sure. There is more there than just a cafe. They have a large store stocked with anything you would want while visiting Richland Chambers Lake. The dining area is huge and if you get bored, walk to the back of the store and visit with the guys who are always there playing dominoes. They will welcome the company. They doe serve a lot more than fish and chips but I haven’t been able to order anything else so far. It’s just that good.

We eat there at least once a month when we travel to Palestine Texas, and the food is very good. The cook and staff are very friendly and honest…plus will make you any special order that’s not on their menu, as long as they have the ingredients.

Small little convenient shop but 2 guys are passionate about making great burgers!!! And OMG their fries tater tots and onion rings . I’m picky about my fries and onion rings and they know how to do it right! And he delivered our food to us. I wanted to leave a tip to support a small business but they didn’t ask for one on the receipt and I had no cash they deeper e a great tip!

I wasn’t up to making breakfast for everyone and this cute little lakeside store/Cafe is just like
visiting Grandma’s on Saturday morning.
We ordered fried eggs, toast, bacon and hash browns. All cooked to perfection and my hubby got pancakes which were light and fluffy and too much for him to finish.
There’s plenty of room to sit at available tables in the Cafe.
The service is great and the staff is super sweet.
The tea and coffee is freshly made.
Highly recommend for dine in or take out.
Their breakfast biscuits are delicious.

It was a fun meal and exactly what I would have expected. We got hamburgers. They were fine. Nothing special. Thin meat patties. French fries were great. Onion rings very greasy. Most likely, I’ll continue going back because it’s close, convenient and cheap. The owner is super nice. The restaurant is clean and neat. I recommend this place just don’t have high expectations.

I love going to local places to eat. We went to breakfast there one morning. Order at the counter. Sit anywhere you like. They bring the food nice and hot. As you wait get your coffee or soda at the side bar. Just an old country store but clean. They brings pot of coffee around for refills and sxk if you want anything else and leave your bill. Pay as you leave. Everything was great . We also called in an order for dinner catfish so good! Still hot and plenty of it catfish, Fry’s hushpuppies. Will definitely come back.
