We ordered three different kinds of oysters, clam chowder, and two brunch plates. Service was super friendly and on point. Prices felt pretty fair for the quality and the location. Definitely recommend.

First time in Santa Barbara and this spot was recommended to us—great call! The laid-back vibe and outdoor seating were perfect, and the busser was hustling like an absolute champ. Our server was a bit low-energy (maybe saving his personality for the dinner rush), but nothing that ruined the experience.
The food was the real highlight: my fish sandwich was solid, my girlfriend’s fish tacos were amazing, and the crab cakes stole the show completely.
Overall, a fun and tasty lunch date. We’d definitely come back just hoping the server brings a little more sunshine next time!

My wife and I ate lunch here on our last full day in Santa Barbara. Our waitress, Ava, was phenomenal. She warmly greeted us, gave us great suggestions and we were very willing to try them. Her conversation was personable and really made our time at this restaurant wonderful.

My wife ordered the fresh oysters and the seafood plate. Oh.. she also had a oyster shooter with vodka ( This was her 1st time trying it and she loved it). I ordered the seafood pasta. Everything came out hot, full portioned and very very seasoned. We both complimented our food throughout the meal.

I had a Sangria and my wife had a vodka lemonade. I can’t remember what the exact name of the drink is though (Name located on the menu).

We stayed for like 3hrs just drinking and converse amongst ourselves and with Ava. This experience truly helped make the last day full.

Thank you Ava for being who you are. Do not change girl.

If you go to this restaurant, ask for her AND tip her well. She deserves it!

Santa Barbara Fish House is an incredible spot for fresh, delicious seafood. The flavors are bright, the portions are generous, and every dish tastes like it was made with real care. The atmosphere is relaxed and coastal, perfect for a nice dinner out, and the service is friendly and attentive without ever feeling rushed.

From the appetizers to the entrées, everything was spot-on. If you’re looking for great seafood and a memorable dining experience, this place is definitely worth visiting.

I don’t even know where to begin. This was easily the worst restaurant experience I’ve had in years.

The food was completely inedible. The fish was cooked in an eggy batter and arrived absolutely swimming in grease—disgusting. The clam chowder was cold when it hit the table. Nothing was fresh, balanced, or remotely appetizing.

The environment was just as bad. The kitchen was blasting music at an absurd volume, while multiple other types of music played at the same time. Plates were crashing constantly. The noise level was indescribable—chaotic, stressful, and impossible to ignore. It felt more like standing inside a malfunctioning kitchen than dining at a restaurant.

From start to finish, it was a terrible experience. It completely ruined our evening. I eat out often, and I am not picky, but this place was unbelievably bad on every level—food, atmosphere, and overall execution.

I wanted to leave so badly that I was genuinely focused on getting out without taking a single ounce of this place’s energy with me. Horrific experience.

Run away. Don’t walk.

Very polite and helpful staff but the food was disappointing. It tasted like reheated TV dinners, no flavor, bland, mushy. I definitely won’t come for the food again

It’s located across from the pier, so convenient for lunch! The staff was amazing so was the inside of the restaurant. I ordered a cocktail that was excellent with berries and mint. I heard that the fish and chips were great so we ordered that and it was delicious. The crispiness was just right and the fish did not taste fishy. They use the rock fish. We also got the shrimp salad, so fresh! Next time we will order some other items we had our eye on!

Good food, especially the secondary menu of seasonal dishes. The scallop and shrimp risotto with creamy and delicious house were all the other fish and seafood dishes that my friend’s ate.
Nice location overlooking the ocean and pier. The staff was friendly and efficient.
While I wish they had a better selection of mocktails the lavender lemonade was really refreshing.

We came to this place in the afternoon and it was almost fully packed. We were still able to get a table and lunch. The waitress was attentive and was often coming to the table to check on us. The food was prepared fairly quickly and was delicious. We particularly liked the risotto. It was a wonderful experience overall.

First, the food is very good!!! The ambiance is very nice. A romantic place if you need one, especially outside by the fire. The patrons next to me were on a mini-honeymoon. The only complaint I would have is for a fish house… There wasn’t a wide selection of fish as expected. I did have the salmon which was wonderful. I suspect they do what they offer well, I just expected more types of fishes in the fish house. Approximately 50$ per person including 1 drink. I’d go back. Enjoy!!
