This spot has a great outdoor seating area, though I chose to sit inside this time since it was quite busy and I was looking for a quieter vibe. Plenty of parking!
The food was impressive across the board. I really appreciated that the meat has a deep BBQ flavor without being lathered in sauce, giving you the freedom to add as much or as little as you like.
The Meats: The Brisket was delicious, and the Prime Rib was incredible—it pulled right off the bone.
The Sides: The Potato Casserole and Brussels Sprouts were both excellent. I also tried the Deviled Eggs; they were good, though a bit on the sweet side for my taste (keeping in mind I don’t eat them often!).
To drink, I had the Cold Brew Liquor Coffee. It was great and very tasty, though I didn’t actually realize it was alcoholic when I first ordered it! Definitely a pleasant surprise, but something to keep in mind for others.

Where is the pink in this brisket? Never in Texas can one prepare according to 4Rs Website, and not have a nice pink smoke ring. And smoke flavor!

Guys what is going on ? The staff that prepare the food for take out are destroying this business which isn’t a fair representation for them.
I ordered the brisket sandwich with coleslaw & pickles and the bun on the side. Got home and found a mess.
The coleslaw was on top of the brisket which made the meat soggy & cold. I was afraid to reheat the meat as it had all the coleslaw dressing smothered over it. Not the best experience and waste of my money.
I have added pics to explain the mess, the bag was drenched in the juices of another sandwich that wasn’t wrapped properly.

This is it last time ordering $50 worth of dry barbecue food, fries are old , take out no sauces in bag or even asked if I wanted any, barbecue sauce ,sandwich DRY! String beans don’t taste all the way cooked! What is wrong with you guys you use to be the best on Southside! This is my 3rd time with take out I’m DONE If you don’t care about customers or the food then close ! At this point you owe me $150!

Solid bbq joint. The smells inside and out are heavenly. I was excited to see they had a sandwich with burnt ends on it, but super sad to see they aren’t actually “burnt ends”. Not even slightly charred ends… cooked ends is about it… I digress… still a good sandwich… but in my opinion , burnt ends need to be burnt. It’s in the name even.
I’m glad I got the wings because they were the star of the show for me. Cooked perfectly and the signature sauce with the blue cheese is out of this world.
My buddy had the ribs with brisket and two sides. The ribs were fantastic and the brisket was good. Beans were so good and Mac and cheese was grainy so he didn’t eat it.
Great service and atmosphere. Menu has a lot of awesome options.

I’m from out of town. Heard this place was best in Jacksonville. Very underwhelming food. Got burnt ends which was just chopped brisket with sauce. Service was insanely slow. Waited in line for 40 min. Place was not full or super busy. My food sat on the tray for 10 min getting cold before I could check out. Ordered wings as well. Those had no flavor, were not tender and took another 20 min to get. Would not recommend.

Ok this place is amazing, the food was great I got the pulled pork sammich and when they have to squeeze the grease out to put it on the bun you know it’s gonna slide right down, and out, I got Mac and cheese and fries for sides but screw that stick with the main course it’s amazing, added in a can of soda and it cost $16 bucks, super reasonably priced I didn’t finish the Mac and cheese or fries cuz the sandwich stuffed me, I’m full beyond capacity, time for a nap. A Jacksonville must visit

I enjoy and prefer their beautiful Texas Destroyer sandwich which is topped with onion rings and provolone. I wish to look into trying it with jalapeños if there are not too many seeds. Also, their burnt ends are housemade, surprisingly amazing, and full of flavor.
I enjoy and request their wet, sweet southern coleslaw. Also, I ask for their flavorful and cooked with bacon southern green beans. I do not enjoy the cliental. I wish to take food for takeout.
