It’s a solid spot if you’re craving something fresh and tasty. The food is made right in front of you, and you can really taste the freshness in every bite. The customer service is honestly one of the best — super friendly, quick. First time tried the tabbouleh salad, loved it. and they make you feel welcome the moment you walk in. I have never had a shawarma before and decided to try out this place with my husband. We got a shawarma with a side of their seasoned fries. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. The portions were also generous and just enough for the both of us. I will definitely be coming back

I’ve tried shawarma from many places, but this one genuinely stands out. The flavor was rich and perfectly balanced, the meat was tender, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. I decided to give Shawarma Square another chance, and I had the chicken shawarma, which was pretty tasty and creamy. I also had the loaded fries, and even though there are other ingredients mixed in, I could tell the fries were greatly improved from before. The wait was also improved from before. The employees were very friendly and knowledgeable. I am giving a 5 star review assuming that the previous items I had last visit have been improved and as tasty as what I had this visit.

My only small issue is that the falafel was a bit hard and dry on the outside: the sauce helped! All the sauces are vegetarian, the tahini sauce is vegan.

This place is a gem and a rare find. Ended up ordering both the chicken and the flafell shwarmas. Excellent flavors and you can goodbye to Astoria! Sharjeel made our food and is very knowledgeable about food. He is an excellent host. I drove almost 45 minutes to eat here today and I will definitely come back!!!

What a Great find!! For someone who’s grown up in the Middle East where Shawarma is the most authentic, I can genuinely say that this place has the best Chicken Shawarma ( wrap ) in NY! I’ve loved shawarmas in Michigan as well as in Atlanta. Finding something so close to taste in NY is a big win for me!! Highly recommend! They’re working to add Beef as well as Lamb to their options!
