The bun bo hue was delicious. The broth was flavorful and a little bit spicy. It was the perfect size if your hungry because it had tons of meat in it. My only critique is that it didnt have any pigs blood in it.
The cold cut banh mi was also delicious. For $6, it was packed with meat, veggies and a good amount of pate, which i love. I toasted it in the oven at home and it was perfect.
One of my friend ordered the durian milkshake and I tried a bit of it. If you love durian, you would love it. It had a very strong durian flavor and also sweet.
If you pay in cash, you get 10% off. If you have 4 or more people at the table, you have to pay it in 1 bill. No splitting. The servers here is also nice and fast. The parking in this plaza is also super busy so its a bit hard getting a parking spot.
We’ve been ordering from here (uber eats) because i heard good reviews. Surprisingly, the food is nothing extraordinary. They also come with no chopped onions or spring onions (which should enhance the taste). Just the plain broth, noodles and the meat and the Side dish herbs. But ok, since they are the closest, i can just chop some at home and throw it in.
But tonight, it’s super disappointing. There was not enough soup and it looked like it’s just soup and noodles and a little meat. Deep fried tofu came in with just the fried tofu which were so soggy and yucky with just sachet of chilli sauce.
Many of their popular dishes such as their pho, vermicelli and rice all tend to be reliable options. Some recommendations include their Curry Brisket Pho, their House Special Vermicelli and their House Special Rice. Portion sizes are decent and are definitely filling for one, as well being potentially shareable for two depending on the dish. They also offer snacks and desserts as well, such as their Banh Mi which is freshly made, as well as a small selection of Vietnamese Deli for take-home.
Due to how popular Pho Metro is in the Scarborough area, there usually is a bit of a wait for a table but tends to be short. It’s best with smaller groups (no more than 6 to 8 per table) just given the popularity of their Scarborough location. They also offer a small discount if paying by cash or debit.
