The food OMG, I mean EVERYONE continues to rave about the food still. My husband is a huge BBQ person and he said that was the BEST brisket he has ever had!! And he eats a lot of BBQ.
If you are on the fence of ordering, don’t be. You will NOT be disappointed at all. Everything was exceptional!!
Our Menu –
Brisket, Chicken, Pork, Mac&Cheese, Baked Beans, Buns, and Banana pudding! ALL AMAZING!!! Thank you Jimmy for putting the party over the top!! ❤️
Ordered the brisket grilled cheese (because why not?), and it was a game-changer, moist, tender brisket piled high with melty cheese on buttery, toasted bread. Cooked to smoky perfection, no dry edges in sight. The side of coleslaw stole the show: tangy, pickle-juice based with just the right crunch, refreshing and addictive. Washed it down with their homemade lemonade, which is hands-down the best I’ve had in ages: sweet-tart, not from a mix, and ridiculously refreshing.
Service was friendly and quick, portions generous (bring a hearty credit card or a fat wallet, you’ll want to try everything on the menu). 5 stars all day. If you’re near Riverchase Village, do yourself a favor and go. This spot just earned a permanent pin on my Alabama BBQ map! Givon Wayne
I highly recommend Saw
Here’s the rub:
-My food wasn’t as warm/hot as I felt it needed to be (it was lukewarm).
-The waitress seemed to be in a constant rush, even though the restaurant wasn’t that full. In doing so, she failed to hear me request my beer be brought out with my food. They tried to save it though, and put it in the fridge to keep it cold (it wasn’t as crispy as it was originally; I noticed). I drank it anyway.
-The sauce on the tables: it’s SUPER THIN. Like TOO thin. Seriously thin – like water. But it tastes good.
-1,000 Island dressing is NOT what you should serve as a dipping sauce for fried okra, fried green tomatoes, etc.
-Shop towels. Tell me I’m not the only person who thinks they smell like chemicals. There’s a reason they don’t sell them in the paper towel section at Walmart. Regular paper towels are okay, I promise.
Food tastes good, definitely eat here. I suggest the Pork and Greens (tastes great, even at cooler temperatures), and the fried okra. The fried green tomatoes are meh.
Brisket sandwich was amazing. Preferred another places chicken compared to here.
