Waterfront bar/restaurant. Relaxed vibe. Went on a Friday, early dinner time. Seated quickly. Lots of menu choices. Food is delicious! Had a fried clam appetizer. Was a little expensive, but totally understandable since the restaurant is on the water. Nice views. Our waitress, Ellie, was very nice! We even got a free show for a drunken young fellow who had reached his limit of the punch buckets. He was being a little silly, but not causing too much trouble. Him and his friends left happily and peacefully, which doesn’t always happen with too much alcohol! 🙂 I would definitely recommend this location and return in the future!

Managed to snag a table on the water during a scorching August day. The atmosphere at Lazy Jacks is bar none in Portsmouth. It is directly on the water, and perfect for bird-watching. The service is good, and we were able to be seated immediately. I recommend coming earlier in the day to get prime seating on the water.
The menus are a decent size and have a variety of options for any taste buds. We shared a couple of appetizers and some SunCruisers during this trip. Between the Bang Bang Shrimp and Lobster Quesadilla, we both preferred the quesadilla. While they were both good, the Bang Bang Shrimp needed a sauce to accompany the flavors. Overall, Lazy Jack’s is a good option if you don’t want to spend a fortune in downtown Portsmouth.

This was such a wonderful experience. Georgina is the hostess with the most kind and gentle smile and sweet personality When you go in, ask Georgina to see you and Stephanie‘s section. Stephanie was an exceptional waitress, prompt on time ask great questions and interacted. Well, very professional upbeat personality and such an engaging person!!!!

Upscale dive on Portsmouth water front.Colorfully decorated but also has a little rustic feel.Nice outside covered patio seating over looking the water. The service was good and all were smiling and friendly as well as attentive.
The food is very good.Downtown tourist area so price point is on the higher side but portions are plentiful and tasty so you won’t be disappointed.
Great bucket drinks that are tasty and well balanced.Good beer assortment.

Ahhhhhh…..summer = Lazy Jack’s. Casual, outdoor sea breezes by the Piscatiqua, great drinks (although those who enjoy salt on their margarita need to keep in mind that regular drinks come in plastic cups and therefore salt doesn’t really stick!), and fantastic apps and food. This time, we had a couple of apps: onion rings were skinny crispy and fantastic, huge portion. Bang bang shrimp is always a hit. And hubby ordered a “Lazy Dilla” (quesadilla), with lobster and cheese (He says he probably would have added some sort of sauce or salsa on that to give it some zing, but people who love lobster would probably really enjoy it as is). The service is amazing and friendly. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is fun and festive and beautiful by the water! Highly recommend for a casual time in Portsmouth. But come early! Tables fill up fast.

Cool spot! Great views. Great drinks. Fish tacos were awesome. And best French fries I’ve had in a long time, super crunchy. We split the dinner as an appetizer because it was in between lunch and dinner. You get 2 tacos and fries. 2 drinks and taco dinner $46 including tip.

If you come to Portsmouth, you definitely need to check this place out. We had lunch here and it was a blast. We were having some of the best drinks right on the watch. The food was so good. We had the best beef empanadas that I have ever had. They were made that morning.

I think this is closed for the winter now, but we had a great time here last month. A very relaxing Key West I kind of feel in the middle of Portsmouth New Hampshire. I had the jambalaya which was to die for. In addition to the seafood and other dinner options there were some great drinks to be had as well. I’m glad we had the chance to stop by before they shut down for the winter. If we’re back up in Portsmouth again, I’m pretty sure we’ll be spending at least one meal there.

Stopped in on a Monday early evening for a drink.
The location can’t be beat. Seating ourselves, there were plenty of open tables. We grabbed one right on the water and had a great view of the tugs and the birds dive-bombing their dinner (bait fish).
The booths, while colorful and festive, were wobbly and evidently not fastened too securely to the floor. And, the table tops were very sticky. Not sure that they were wiped down prior to our seating.
Service was ok. While we only ordered one round of drinks, at no point were we offered water.
The drinks were so so, a bit on the weaker side.

There is a sign which says seat yourselves which was not a problem. The problem was we had to find a server to bring us menus because all the servers were sitting on their phones in the corner talking. We got our menus and ordered. My mom had ordered a drink and had asked for Tito’s instead of well. We had saw them making the drink and she had used well. We thought no big deal we can just remind them that she had wanted Tito’s. The server had sworn it was Tito’s (once again, we saw the pour). We got our food, which was amazing. But then we had finished eating and our server was no where to be found. All of the servers were in the corner room on their phones and talking. We had to ask another server for our check which was not too big of a deal but frustrating. We then got the check and we were charged for the premium drink since my mom had wanted Tito’s but didn’t receive it. Once again we had been promised it was Tito’s. This typically wouldn’t have been too frustrating if it wasn’t for the fact that we watched it all happen. As you see on my review the food and the location was amazing but the service truly could use some work.
