Select restaurant is a hidden gem in Montgomery.
Down by the river off route 25 on Boulder hill pass. Like ihop with faster service.
I love the select skillet and their homemade bread. They also sell their homemade bread by the loaf to go!

Did carry out my first experience. Food was amazing. Chico skillet was fulfilling that I was struggling to eat my pancakes too. The pancakes were amazing too which is rare. They had very nice fluff to them and didn’t taste like batter or had no flavor, just perfect. Price was average, to me is no biggie. Everything I ordered on the phone was spot on so thank you to the woman who took my order too. Very vintage inside too.

Great food. Affordable prices. Family home cooking style. Nice salad bar with crisp fresh ingredients. Had liver with extra onions, salad bar, peas and carrots and baked potato. Desert was included but could not finish my meal, was too much! Recommend for down to earth eats.

I’ve eaten here for decades and it’s only gotten better. Biscuits and gravy is some of the best. I’m a b&g junkie so they HAVE to be good. Super casual and just a good family diner. Feels like family. Wanting to come back and try some of their Mexican menu items.

Here the food was great, but the service is suffering. It took a good portion of time to get our drinks, food, and check. I had the brosted chicken and potatoes. It was delishes! I’m not sure if they were having an off day, but the servers didn’t even try to smile. Customer service has to be a priority. I just don’t like to eat where I feel like I am not welcome.

We stopped in here for dinner and had the best experience. The staff was very welcoming and the food wad delicious. My fiancé had the hot beef sandwich and I had the Grecian chicken dinner + chili. The chili was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had!

Excellent breakfast at a good price. Our server was very nice and the food came out quickly. I had the cinnamon French toast combo and my husband had a chorizo skillet- both were delicious

My wife almost broke her tooth on something hard while eating her chicken noodle soup. It turned out to be a bone and when it was brought to the owners attention all he said is that it was a piece of fat and wasn’t an issue. It definitely was not fat. The food was good though. Don’t get me wrong there. I enjoyed the food but the surprise in the soup was definitely not welcome.

The Select has been a family favorite for generations. My grandfather used to frequent every Friday night for their dish fry. My parents and I have gone all my life. Today I had the country benedict with biscuits, sausage, poached eggs and a sausage bechamel. The eggs were properly poached and the food was hot and quickly delivered. My wait staff were friendly and helped me understand more of the history of the restaurant. Evelyn was very kind. The waitress who took care of me 40 years ago was an Evelyn as well.
I appreciate the consistency of food and atmosphere that this restaurant has maintained for so many tears. It looks pretty much like it did when I ate here at 5 years old. I hope it stays around for a long time to come.
