great selection of beer and alcohol, tasty food, superb service, and very reasonable prices! tons of space in the place, including an outdoor area, plus some sort of event/live music almost every night it seems. highly recommend!

I was bummed to find that the quality of Libertine has gone down over the years. We used to be members of the bottle club several years ago and really enjoyed their sour ales. We came in for dinner last night while stopping through town on a road trip for a flight of sour beers and dinner, and sadly the beer and food were really not good. The beer was not served cold enough and was flat, and they lacked the depth of flavors I remember from the past. I’m not sure if it was the beer itself or issues with the kegs, but I only decided to finish one of the 4 tasters because it was really that mediocre. The food was equally disappointing. My smash burger didn’t have much flavor and the sweet potato fries were unsalted. It seems like they are more focused on being a music venue and bar these days, and I can see it being a good spot to come for drinks (from their guest tap list) and live music if you live in town. I personally won’t be back.

Tons of beers. But only stayed for one. I must have just landed on the wrong night as the club scene took over, not my cup of tea for a brewery. I’ll have to go back when it is not plastic cup, DJ, and youngster night! All that said, the beer I had was excellent and the door man was great!

Just happened to walk into this gem of a pub when walking down in Marro Bay. The interior was inviting and the view was amazing. All the house drafts were sours, which are my favorite. The service was excellent. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. Amazing. Got a flight and a few tasters of all the sours. I was in heaven.

It’s a cool space, tends to always be very busy. Goat cheese burger was really good and the hummus appetizer was great to tide us over. Fish and chips were pretty flakey and not overly covered with greasy batter which was a good change from our original Morro Bay experience.
Overall the Libertine beers are terrible. We tried their new non-“sour” Brown and it’s nothing to get excited about. And I do enjoy sours, theirs are just lazy and tart and always inconsistent. Go down the street to Speakeasy Barrelhouse if you want to try a good sour.
Service was friendly but a little flighty and not too knowledgeable about beer.

Great selection of brews, specifically house made sours. Yummy grub and good service. We came on a Thursday after the farmers market, so pretty busy. It was Thirsty Thursday, meaning after 8 PM all beers with a 7% or greater are $4. We will definitely be back.

Great selection of sours, and other beers. Friendly staff, tasty food. The Pretzel, the Tri Tip Egg Rolls, Fried pickles were all good. The Spice Rider was tasty, nice hint of Ancho Chilies on the back end. We’ll be back for sure.
