Great dining experience good music food was very flavorful will definitely returnJust had the best time at dinner the other night! The music was awesome and really set a good vibe for the evening. Everything I ate was packed with flavor, I was seriously impressed. I’m already planning my next visit because I need to try more things on the menu. Seriously, go check this place out, you won’t regret it!

This was our 2nd time visiting this establishment. We decided to join our children considering everything was enjoyable the 1st visit.

Unfortunately, not so much this visit. My husband ordered on the lighter side and decided to get a Cesar salad with a side of seared shrimp. Upon arriving, we immediately smelled a fishy odor and assumed my daughter had ordered some type of fish….that wasn’t the case. It was the shrimp. It had an overwhelming fish smell, unlike any shrimp I’ve ever smelled. My husband ate a couple shrimp and couldn’t finish the rest. He said they didn’t taste right and unfortunately this also ruined the salad (which he only ate half of, considering the shrimp were in the salad) I’m vegetarian so I didn’t try them, however, the other 2 in our party tried the shrimp and agreed they didn’t taste right.

My husband never complains at a restaurant so he simply didn’t bring it up. I typically am the one to say something but he asked me not to. I did call the restaurant later that night because after I researched, i became worried, as I found that the overwhelming fish smell could be due to spoilage of the shrimp.

The lady was kind that answered the phone ant the establishment , as I explained the smell and simply asked if this was typical. She stated it was not and that the shrimp typically aren’t overwhelming in smell. I thanked her after I explained our experience and we disconnected the call.

I just wanted to give anyone a heads up that orders shrimp, that if you smell an overwhelming fish smell from the shrimp, please be careful or ask for it to be returned. I don’t want anyone getting ill.

I truly believe the shrimp was spoiled

The Alfredo sauce was very bland but wasn’t too bad. I’d give a 4/10.

My daughter enjoyed her chicken dish with linguini. She said the sauce had a mild, pleasant taste. She said it could’ve used more flavor but was still enjoyable. She also had a carrot cake drink of some sort and seemed to really enjoy that. Her boyfriend ordered the curry and he said this visit the dish was more peppery than it typically is.

I believe this may have been an off day because my daughter and her boyfriend have visited this establishment frequently and typically love the dishes.

I do not think my husband and I will be back. If we opt to visit again, it will not be any time soon. It just left a bad taste (literally)

My wife and I met some friends here for dinner last night. It was our first visit. This restaurant appears to be very clean, and we received a very warm welcome as soon as we walked inside. I am a disabled veteran that uses a mobility scooter. I was able to get the scooter in with no issues. As soon as we were seated, the server arrived with water and took our drink orders. We had not seen our friends in more than twenty seven years, so we spent some time catching up. Our server was absolutely fantastic! She kept our drinks fresh and filled. The food was awesome! The Manager On Duty visited our table to see how things were going. He was a very nice guy! I would highly recommend Magnolia Blue! We look forward to visiting again the next time we are in town.

This place is phenomenal on so many levels. The food has so much dimension. The service is top notch. The manager came around and checked on us. The music was absolutely fantastic. James Vincent Carroll was playing live and it at such a wonderful atmosphere. Everybody was interacting like they were all friends. Highly recommend.

Chicken and waffles was amazing. The syrup had a little kick and was so delicious. Bacon was amazing and cooked perfectly. The grits had a much different consistency and was the best grits I’ve ever had. Bravo!!

My overall experience at Blue Magnolia was mixed! The atmosphere was superb, waitress was great, and the manager was very interactive and engaging with patrons. However!!! The steak is absolutely horrible! Do not pay $41 for the NY strip! Your local corner bar prepares a better steak! Food was cold, and tough! The steak was so cold it did not melt the garlic butter. Atmosphere was great, appetizer’s are good, but main courses leave more to be desired, especially at the price point. I would recommend this place as maybe a first date, order some appetizers but do not order anything off the main course. They survive due to us having limited options on this end of High Point. I don’t think I’ll visit again… They owe me a refund for that steak! I’m not the only one that has left negative reviews about their steak!

Out for my best friend’s birthday and had a good time! Food and drinks were delicious. When we had a server, she was great. It just seemed that she had way too many tables and took forever to come back to us. The establishment is beautiful and has great vibes! Definitely recommend!

Both the egg rolls and the dirty bird were too greasy. The flavors were great, though. Prices are high. This is a good spot for a date night. Would be willing to give it a second try if a discount was offered.

The Nashville Hot Oysters were delicious, just not enough (4/order). The salmon dish was scrumptious. I never had geechie grits, collards, and salmon with a corn relish and a bourbon bbq jus. All the flavors came together well. It was delicious. I tried the peach cobbler for dessert. It was delicious. The top was crunchy, and the breading was cooked thru not ‘doughy’. The scoop of ice cream went well with it. I highly recommend Magnolia Blue. I wish I had tried it earlier. One of the best meals that I’ve had since I’ve been here.
