I’m originally from the sunny state of Florida, but while visiting New York I stayed near Rumba Cubana — and it instantly caught my eye. Looked like a great spot to stop in, and man, it really was. The service was great, the atmosphere was on point, the drinks were solid, and the food was even better.
If you’re in town visiting New York and staying on the New Jersey side, definitely check this place out. 100% worth it.

This spot is more intimate that the other locations that I’ve been to. Though the wait time was a bit long for me, I really didn’t mind since I wasn’t in a hurry. But besides that, the food and the service were great. This will be my new fave of all the locations.
We had the fried rice which came with the snapper- this was really nice, although I couldn’t eat it all. The sweet potatoes were also amazing, not greasy and the food wasn’t salty at all. The tropical salmon is always a favorite combined with the black beans and rice. The passion fruit sangria was well made, although my husband wanted something sweeter . The tea capped a calming effect for me and I didn’t have space for dessert.

Hello my foodies, I went here for a good friends birthday and the food was excellent! Everything was excellent! You can’t go wrong here with any dish. Our waitstaff was excellent, and food is probably the best for a Cuban restaurant that I have tried so far. If you’re in the area, definitely stop in here.
