Their crispy pork banh mi sandwich is out of this world. The crackling isn’t too crispy and they include slow cooked parts of the pork in a way that melts in your mouth. So good! Flavor explosion and they had a smoky dark fish sauce in a deli ketchup bottle thing that was so good with the sandwich. It added even more umami and slight sweetness that complemented the sandwich well. Great portion size and will definitely be coming back for more.

Let’s start by saying I give this place a 10 out of 10 for their food. This was my first visit, stopped by to grab a banh mi & went with the grilled pork to go. This was the best I’ve had, flavorful meat grilled to perfection, crunchy pickled veggies, and the baguette was perfect. Don’t walk, run to this place if you want the real deal!

This is a hidden gem in Castleton! They have a large variety of mochi donuts, drinks, and food items. I had an egg coffee and bao buns which were delicious! The staff was super friendly and helpful and the overall atmosphere was eclectic and inviting. I really enjoyed my visit and the food too. I’ll definitely pop in whenever I’m in the area.

You might enjoy the menu ordered dishes but there was a low quantity of prepared food stock and variety. A tad more expensive per package / piece than we expected. We visited wanting pastries as a snack but either they were sold out or intentionally not producing much or full variety.

My wife and I went here for the first time recently. We were interested in the desserts, but didn’t get any help gaining clarity on what some items were. The bahn mi was pretty solid, however, the pho my wife received was not very good.

Love the decorations and appearance of the restaurant. I went right around opening, and the bakery had a minimal selection outside of the mochi donuts. The menu options were a lot better. Service was good, food didn’t take too long and everyone was very polite. For the price, the portions are on the smaller side, and I wasn’t personally a big fan of the bread. The crispy pork was amazing though! Other than that, overall not a bad place and enjoyed my meal.

Hanna’s Banh Mi Bakery and Cafe is fantastic. It’s a cafe so you order at the counter and then they give you a number and they bring you the food. The pho, the banh mi, it was all great. The banh mi specifically was one of the best I have had in my life. I think the one I had was called Hanna’s Special. I highly recommend it. My partner had the veggie banh mi and said it was wonderful as well. Before we left we got both an ice and hot Vietnamese Coffee which was wonderful too.

Jason and Dianna were great! I loved my food I got, the spring rolls were amazing. I loved my bo bun too! My husband liked his shrimp po boy and our drinks were great too! The owner Jason was so kind and helpful. He says all the seafood is very fresh and they get local ingredients. The location is awesome and love the vibes. We ended the night with some mochi donuts which we loved! Can’t wait to go back!

Went here for lunch for the first time. If you haven’t been here, do yourself a favor and try it out. The Banh Mi sandwiches are legit! Now I don’t have to drive to Uptown Chicago for it!
The coffee was excellent! The beans are sourced from Vietnam and not some crappy American roaster.
The atmosphere was enjoyable and relaxing. Jayson and James were very helpful and nice. Again support local and most importantly support good folks!
