Belgian waffles with sweet & savory toppings turned out from a counter serve in an industrial space.

So tiny that we drove past it twice, but we’re glad we kept looking for this terrific breakfast spot located in a suburban strip mall. It’s all about the waffles, and they are very good indeed! I had the blueberry lemon waffles and a side of links, my wife ordered the fried chicken and waffles. The chicken was some of the best I’ve eaten anywhere, super tasty and crunchy, moist on the inside, done perfectly, like, who needs the waffle! But the waffle was delicious too, with a generous double portion of real maple syrup on the side. The blueberries were fresh and the waffle was covered with a yummy lemon glaze. The restaurant also offers a variety of waffle sandwiches which we plan to try our next visit, including one made with mac & cheese instead of waffle batter. The atmosphere is kind of grim- bare concrete floors and cheap folding chairs, and at one point I had to go searching for the server in order to get a refill of very so-so coffee, but I’m gonna forgive these minor flaws on the strength of the fried chicken!

The place was super cozy, the lady serving us was really friendly and made the experience 100 times better by playing a game with us testing out taste buds with the mimosas. Got 1/6 but was so much fun and a great way to start of a 21st birthday! Definitely going back.

This place is new to our neighborhood and we had to try it. We will absolutely be back.
Our server was incredible. She talked with us, made sure we were taken care of, and didn’t seem to mind our energetic toddler.
The food was incredible. Came out quickly and tasted so good. The accommodated food sensitivities with zero issue and made sure we had what we needed.
Highly recommend Batter Up (and the MVP waffle sandwich).

I’m honestly hard to please, but Batter Up completely won me over. I ordered the chicken and waffles with macaroni balls—everything was fresh, not frozen, and cooked to perfection. The chicken was crisp and juicy, the waffle had great texture, and those mac balls were golden, creamy, and packed with flavor. You can taste the care they put into every dish.
I wish I’d found this place years ago. Even though they’re moving farther from me, I’ll still make the drive—the food is that good.

I LOVE THIS PLACE ❤️ ! EXACTLY what I’m looking for in a sweet waffle! I had the Cinnamon Swirl Waffle and Barnyard Scramble w a side of hashbrowns. I should have switched the egg order w my friend cuz I asked for over med but they were hard and my friend asked for the opposite but we didn’t really pay attention to it till the end. I also ask for something about the hashbrwns but it got mixed up a bit, but I didn’t mind. I ate what I wanted/needed but thoroughly enjoyed my waffle treat. It remained crispy on the outside with all deliciousness on top and even the waffle had flavor! I wasn’t impressed with their version of the Espresso Martini…tasted like I was drinking straight Kaluha I also tried having her make a smoothie for me but I think i asked for the wrong flavors/mixture/combo cuz it just didn’t taste right…not her fault, all mine. My friend had the chicken and waffles and she wasn’t happy with either. She did, however, like her smoothie ♀️
Parking on the early wknd mornings might be tight, but there’s a federal agency across the street w parking that says u can get towed, but the government doesn’t work on weekends and that DOGE thing might have already closed it anyhow, so its an open lot ON THE WEEKENDS.
Batter Up! is also in “food court” setting, as Oregon likes to call it, but u have to pay attention to which door u walk into because they’re all separate little doors/offices/things on the ground level of [several] buildings, caddycorner to a post office [that DOGE hasn’t canceled yet ].

What a lucky find! They really know how to flavor all their dishes. Most breakfast places seem to under season to play it safe but here you can taste the confidence in their recipes. Amazing

The waffles have never failed me and I’ve been coming for about 6 years. The mimosas are delicious as well. The Mac & cheese balls was what was a bit bland. It tastes like just 1 cheese, there was no cheese pull. The cheese balls are the only thing I’d recommend on skipping, def not worth the $8. Everything else was good.

An amazing experience. I would go back here again without question. Food? Delicious. Drinks? From the ones I had, good. The water was refreshing and complementary self serving right next to an entrance. Ordering/Paying was very quick. Establishment: CLEAN. Atmosphere: COMFY. Booze? AVAILABLE. Parking? Not bad! And it’s also right off a bus line so it is easily accessible. We went during a busy hour, don’t do it. It can take maybe 15 minutes for food to get out to you. I want to try a weekday and see how fast it is.

We love the waffles in this restaurant the best. They are always freshly baked, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. We had the seasonal limited edition pumpkin waffle, and the chicken waffle. The chicken is always freshly fried and tender. I like it the best among all chicken waffles I have ever had.
