First visit to Tati’s Island Cuisine — we were excited to try it after hearing great things. The atmosphere was lively, music was loud but enjoyable, and the staff was welcoming. The young lady taking our order was patient and gave helpful recommendations.
The jerk chicken was tender and well seasoned, and the salmon on the rasta pasta was cooked perfectly. The raspberry and strawberry lemonades were delicious but very, very sweet. However, some sides were misses — the red beans and rice were dry, the cabbage and mac & cheese were overly greasy/goopy, and the rasta pasta was so oily it took away from the dish overall, which seemed to have the potential of being delicious. Egg rolls were mixed reviews for us we ordered both the salmon and the jerk chicken.
Pricing felt fair, but food quality was extremely inconsistent for the cost. We did takeout for lunch (ate it immediately while hot), so a dine-in experience might be different. A return visit is still up in the air, but the atmosphere and service make us open to trying again.

The music was excellent! There are no restaurants in Aiken that play music like they do in Atlanta so it was nice to find this spot with great music, food, and outstanding customer service. The owner came out to make sure the food was good.

First and for most it was my birthday on yesterday 12/20 , so my husband wanted to take us to this place he had been seeing people recommending. I was excited. We drove about 2hrs out the way to get here from NC. Ok as soon as we got out the vehichle there was the fowl smell in the air and it was just lingering, almost like a sewer smell . So we didn’t think anything of it since there were other buildings in the area. So we went on in and reviewed the menu. My thoughts were on the lamb chops, rice and macaroni. My husband did the salmon pasta and an appetizer of the mango wings. To my surprise they were out of the macaroni so it was substituted for Rasta pasta. So we ordered and waited in our car. Once we got home we tested all the food, everything seemed fine until I opened my order (lamb chops- supposedly). When I tell you the sewer smell was literally in my plate I mean just that, I don’t know what was used, but it must have been bad meat. I give 3 stars because all the other food was good, but I was extremely disappointed with what was suppose to be lamb chops, but I don’t know what type of meat it actually was. I might go back, but it definitely won’t be anytime soon.

Came in with my brother and dad. I got the salmon Rasta pasta and my dad got the salmon entree. Food was hot and delicious!! So much flavor. Music is on point as well first time in South Carolina and this place did not disappoint.

Not a fan, oxtails were very stringy, flavor was absent. Cabbage overcooked. The plantains were bitter. The service was great and the passion lemonade was great. Definitely want to come back and maybe try something else.

I am highly disappointed. I spent almost $100 dollars for two meals and A side of plantains, and two salmon egg rolls. The oxtails had a lot of fat on them barely no meat. The Jamaican food was not real authentic Jamaican food there was no Jamaicans in the kitchen cooking there was not one Jamaican working. The two juices that I bought was not cold and I asked for a cup of ice and their ice machine was not even working! Although the food was hot, the oxtails were not tender. I was totally disappointed. Hopefully if I try the one off of Broad River it will be a lot more enjoyable, but to spend Almost $100 for that I will never go back again!

Decided to stop by on thanksgiving. My husband ordered the oxtails and cabbage and I ordered the curry goat and plantains. Both came with rice and peas. My husband enjoyed the oxtails he said they were very tender. The goat was not as tender and the rice and peas were lukewarm., but the plantains were cooked to perfection! The service was excellent and we enjoyed the vibe. Mati was an off day so maybe we may try it again.
