It was a disappointing experience, and we won’t be coming back.
Here on vacation, and know that the meals I find can be hit or miss, since, as someone passing through, I’m not going to have a chance to find all the fantastic little hole in the wall places that the locals know.. that’s ok. This isn’t a hole in the wall, but it’s still fantastic.
He got the NY strip (med rare) with mashed potatoes. He said “no complaints”, which is descriptive, from him.
I got the surf and turf with broiled flounder. I ordered my steak Bleu rare, which isn’t common, I know… And they actually did it right. It had that perfect pitsburg char on the outside, buttery tender inside that I love so much. I asked for Lea & Perrins out of habit, but when I tasted the steak, I found it so perfectly seasoned that I never opened the bottle.
I saved the hush puppies for dessert, because they are like a beignets’ slight less sweet cousin.
The tea was actually sweet enough, and the soft drinks are Pepsi products on tap.
Huzzah.
