Hands Down this is our fave locale! Lendell and Yvette are just the best. And just like their signage says “Our employees are like family. Please treat them like that.”
So I told the young gal in the drive thru, “I expect you in bed by 10p, Young Lady!”
We got Chicago dogs and onion rings which were yummy! We often pair these items with chocolate cake and root beer, but we are on a mission to regain our girlish figures.
Staff Meetings here are lit too!
My brother-in-laws company has Italian Beef flown to their ATL office.

The place had a cool 1950’s ambience. It made you feel like you back there and then. The photos of 1950’s people, school events and activities served to give a nice nostalgic feeling. The food was very good: we had chili dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, chicken tenders and cheese fries.

Food was ok at best. Fries where old and soaggy onion rings where soggy as well. Chicago dog had no flavor other then the pickle and hot peppers.. if someone is choosing to eat a Chicago dog here they clearly haven’t gotten one from Home Depot… (give home depots a try)

I got my food fast, was cooked great. Staff was kind and friendly which I always appreciate. I am from the Chicago suburbs and it’s nice to have the familiar menu. I got the same thing I would get in Crystal Lake and the consistency was there. Thanks for lunch and the kind words!

In the decade I’ve been going there in Arizona and now in Wisconsin…. neither of the locations can fulfill my order as asked whrn I order the Italian beef w with peppers, (Dry with the gravy on the side). Can’t bring myself to complain as the Italian beef never disappoints, and im afraid if they actually give it to me the way I ordered it…? I might not like? So every now and then, when I go there, I’ll just keep alternating betweent the Hot Italian beef and the Chicago dogs, which are just absolutely incredible. And maybe one day, they’ll serve it to me, dry, with a side of gravy like I ask? Then again…maybe they know something I don’t?

I would’ve given it five star because there are tiny beef sandwiches are the best their chocolate cake their strawberry shortcake. Their salads are so good. All the food is good. It’s just that it’s gotten so expensive. What used what you used to pay for the sandwich included everything now you have to pay if you want cheesy you have to pay for this you have to pay for that so I still go there, but I don’t go there as often all used to higher prices but when they put the kiosk in, they started charging separate for everything so just be prepared still great though I just wish they’d get a new loudspeaker out there for the drive-through because it’s so bad I doesn’t cost that much for a speaker people that hurts her ears out there

Simple order for an Italian Beef and fries and had an issue internally which caused an almost 10 min wait. After leaving I noticed the cashier added cheese sauce to my order when I didn’t order that nor do I eat that. My fault for not verifying my order before driving off, but i only ordered a beef and fries…The food is usually good all the time.

First time visiting any Portillo’s and was pleasantly surprised with the quality and flavor of the food. Italian beef was tasty, dipped bread still held up and was not mushy. Chicago dog hit everything that it needed to.

Recently, I went inside of Portillo’s for the first time and omg?? I never knew it was so cute and retro, I regret not going in sooner! I was offered the opportunity to try out their new lemon cake flavor and the cake shake and it was AMAZING. If you like lemon, you’ll LOVE that flavor. I am impressed that they make the cake in house because a lot of places don’t do that anymore! You also cannot go wrong with their burgers and Italian beef. 10/10!!!

Driving home to Chicago from a Bears game in Minnesota, this hit the spot! Not only was the food hot and ready on a chilly Sunday night, but the cashier shook our hands and said Go Bears, and our staff was nothing but friendly and attentive. Great team they have over there. 10/10
