We just tried this place for the first time. We will definitely be coming back. The portions more than make up for the prices and it’s extremely high quality food. I rarely have leftovers when I eat somewhere & I have enough left for a another full meal. So technically, I’m getting two meals for the price of one. There are so many things on the menu that I want to try that this will lead to years of repeat visits to get to them all. Thanks Era, you are truly a great find.

My kids and I had a wonderful breakfast experience at Era Cafe in Waunakee!❤️ I regret not checking out this place as soon as they opened, but better late than never! I’m so happy that we have such a delightful breakfast place in town! Era Cafe is really a vibe!

We chose different dishes: I had corned beef hash, my daughter ordered country fried steak, and my son had crème brûlée toast, and they were all heavenly delicious! The beverages were just as delicious!

Special shoutout to our server, Emma, who provided excellent service and took care of us with a smile and very positive attitude.

We will definitely come back!

Delicious food. Family friendly. Our server was very attentive and wonderful. Bit loud but that is too be expected at such a popular and full place. Recommend calling ahead as the wait time can be long

My husband and I loved our breakfast this morning. I ordered the country fried steak, scrambled eggs, potatoes, and pancake. He had the French Toast. Everything was delicious, and the service was also excellent. Our server was very friendly. I ordered the fresh squeezed orange juice, and it was the best I think I’ve ever had. The potatoes, and my country fried steak were perfectly done & the atmosphere was beautiful. We will certainly be back. This is now one of my favorite breakfast places. ❤️

The atmosphere is great! It kinda feels like a very high-end place but also has a very homey feel. The food was great. The potatoes in my meatlovers skillet were some of the best I’ve had since starting my Saturday breakfast trips! The fruit on the French toast was massive compared to most places I’ve been to. Plus they put different garnishes on each dish.

Our waitress was very delightful. She eagerly waited in us and answered what questions the other person who joined me asked. Plus after we were done, she was very friendly and talkative. Her name was Evelyn.

All in all, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a good breakfast and an amazing atmosphere. I plan on going again sometime!

Breakfast was great! The pancake is the best I’ve had too. My wife loved her omelet so that will be her go to item in future visits.

Let me start by saying I absolutely wanted to crush this restaurant with a bad review. I gave myself a day to cool off before writing this. My wife and I met our son here for breakfast to celebrate her birthday. My son got there first and put his name in for a table, the wait was about 30 minutes – not a problem. My son was not paying attention when they sent the txt that a table was ready, about 2 minutes passed before he saw the txt, so we moved forward waiting to seated. The gentleman seating people never acknowledged us and seated 2 other parties, so I went back up to the hostess station and told them our name. Then after a short wait we got the next available table. I gave this a pass as it was our fault for not acting on the txt right away; however it would have been nice if the gentleman seating people would have at least acknowledged us. Once seated we received good service from our waitress, nothing she could have done better, if I was filling out a survey just for that I would have marked it 10 or excellent. Our food arrived but they had no clue who ordered what (not what you’d expect for a restaurant that leans toward high end), again not a deal breaker. The food and portion size both very good. So what’s the gripe? I’ll tell you. They have it posted that there is a 3% service charge on credit cards – no gripe not uncommon, the bill had it posted. Or bill was $106.50 after a $10.00 coupon including the 3% fee. We left a nice CASH tip on the table and took the bill to the hostess station to pay, I gave the bill to one of the two hostesses at the station with $105.00 cash, the hostess counts the money and tells me I’m $1.50 short. I’m a bit stunned by this and my wife opens her purse to get $1.50. I said wait, we paid cash you need to take the 3% off and give me change. She says we don’t take the fee off when you have a coupon! I’ve heard and seen some stupid policies in my life and that ranks right up there. So, moving on. I said, you’re kidding? Ok, give me the cash back and I’ll use a credit card. Then hostess #2 steps in and takes the fee off, hostess #1 want to argue about it and not give me my change. Hostess #2 tells her to give me my change which she finally did but grudgingly. I left upset and it soured, our first and probably only visit there. We are Waunakee residents and probably would have been good patrons.

After an active morning, my husband and I stopped by Era Cafe for brunch. This was our first dining experience in Waunakee and we were both very impressed. The vibe of Era Cafe is modern and chic but homey. I was a big fan of their decor and design. And the food was even better! I ordered the blueberry cheesecake pancakes with a side of breakfast potatoes. The serving size was very generous, and whoever came up with blueberry cheese pancakes is a genius. My husband got the country fried steak. He was very pleased with his meal and blown away by how much food you get for such a fair price. Everything was so delicious. I have a feeling we will visit again the next time we want a tasty brunch!
