This is one of our favorite places to visit, when going to the lake or the blockhouse! Ruth Ann’s has been in business for a very long time! My parents used to take me here when I was little and now I take my daughter here to enjoy delicious ice cream treats! They have everything from desserts, to snack foods, freeze dried candy and bags of ice. Their prices are very affordable for the amount and quality of their menu items. It is a must for us to stop by. Ruth Ann’s comes highly recommended. You should give them a try!

Ruth Ann’s Ice Cream Shop is a delightful destination for anyone with a sweet tooth. The staff at Ruth Ann’s are incredibly friendly, always greeting customers with a smile and ready to offer suggestions from their extensive menu. What sets this shop apart is its array of unique ice cream options. A standout treat is their inventive ice cream nachos, a playful twist that combines the crunchy texture of waffle cone chips with the creamy goodness of ice cream. Whether you’re a traditionalist or an adventurous eater, Ruth Ann’s offers something to satisfy every palate. It’s a charming spot that promises a fun and tasty experience every visit.

One of the best finds on the Scenic Drive from Muskegon to White Lake! Large menu, good size portions, and a fantastic location–right next to Muskegon State Park campground and across from the Muskegon Sports Complex! The staff of young kids are always pleasant and working hard to provide great service <3. I don't know an ice cream shop that doesn't have lines on warm summer nights, but the kids work hard to get everyone serviced as fast as possible and are quick to correct errors if something gets missed. This iconic ice cream shop is definitely worth taking the scenic route too!

Ruth anne’s is a great place to relax and get some amazing ice cream! Their variety was impressive, consisting of concretes, sundaes, floats, ice cream nachos, and so much more. I ordered the dirt cake sundae, which personally was to die for. Chocolate ice cream with crushed Oreos, marshmallow sauce, chocolate sauce, and gummy worms. It tasted great and I would highly recommend this ice cream shop to anyone who has a good taste in in variety and exceptionably good ice cream!

So giving this review hurts because Ruth Ann’s is the one place I always look forward to every vacation! Prices are extreme for how small, runny, and mistakes that kept happening!! For my family of 4 it was always over 32 dollars each time. We went several times this past week trying to give them a chance to fix things but either flurries were runny or something was wrong each time! The new way to order and wait to pick up is a disaster, we would have 3 families behind us grabbing our order because of the set up! Seen it happen to others also several times! We stood for 45 min waiting between ordering and waiting for our 2 items to be made, and then it was still wrong! One big thing is you could get 2 scoops on a cone or cup and they would be heeping full, now the cup is almost empty still, getting lazy with the scooping and filling amounts! This is all so dispointing because no joke I always said this is the place to go in Michigan, and unfortunately I couldn’t enjoy it like I normally do! Spent so much money, but wasn’t worth it this year 🙁 I hope they fix all theses things and bring it back to its beauty and delicious good stuff!!!!! Please fix this so it can be THE SPOT again!!

Yum! I would call this the Happy Place – I saw amazing sundaes but was glad to be able to choose a single (no guilt). Sweetheart at the window handled kids like a pro and greeted me like a friend.

Love this place and you will too. I come visit every time I’m in the area. It’s not on the Main Street of any town. This place it a hidden gem that should be a destination. Great staff and very friendly owner. Go support the independent shop owners.
