I came with a group of friends to enjoy dinner. For many of us, it was our first time stopping in for dinner. Our server, AJ, was patient and phenomenal in taking care of our group! I enjoyed the chicken pomodoro, and my husband loved the grandpa dicks burger.
The only thing keeping me from delivering a 5-Star review is what I found when I got home. Once I reheated my leftovers, I found a piece of paper wrapped around some of my noodles. I’m not sure where this came from, and I certainly did not notice it in the restaurant as I only finished about half of my dish. Either way, I did enjoy my meal and would consider coming back to try dinner again.

Easily in my top three for eggs Benedict in the U.S. and I’ve had em all over the globe.

Crazy bagels!
Incredible French toast.
Omelettes to die for.
A few lighter options on the menu as well.

The server was ON POINT! Never lacked for coffee ☕️, condiments, or water at the table.

Highly recommend stopping here if passing through Rapid City, South Dakota.

Our waitress Davinna apparently just started here but she crushed it!

They have a really fun “Indecision” tasting menu here where the Chef just does what they want for X number of courses. It was delicious.

Pork Loin and Compressed Pears, Salad with a delicious Egyption topping, Duck, and a hearty steak. It was immaculate.

From the moment we walked in, Tally’s Silver Spoon gave off a vibe that was both upscale and unpretentious. It somehow pulls off that rare balance—feeling classy without being stuffy, cozy without being kitschy.

Our server was genuinely kind and helpful, offering smart recommendations and answering all our questions without rushing us. It felt like she actually wanted us to enjoy our meal—not just turn a table.

And the food? Creative, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. It wasn’t just “good for Rapid City” or “good for a vacation town”—it was flat-out excellent. If I lived nearby, I’d be a regular.

If you’re looking for something memorable while you’re in the Black Hills area, Tally’s absolutely earns the hype.

Great of the greatest! That place honestly deserved at least 2 of Michelin Guide stars. Harmony of tastes and freshness is indescribable. You must try everything!
From each salad to each desert, everything was mouthwatering. Extra joy for us brought the waitress, thank you Justice for such proper explanation and welcoming and professional service.

Cool place. Not many tables but food and service were spot on. Bison mushroom pasta was amazing. Only wine and beer.

Good golly what a fantastic dining experience. I didn’t have a reservation for dinner however, the host kindly sat me right away. Everything from service to the food itself was amazing. I will always remember this restaurant!

We had the most outstanding meal. We started with Foie gras. It was everything we wanted it to be and more. Then we ordered the three-course indecision meal with wine pairings. (Chef’s choice.) The chef was on fire. One of the dishes was an off menu creation that hit every single happy button in my mouth. Our server, Gunnar, did an outstanding job with the wine pairings. He made this special birthday outing absolutely perfect.

What a great experience. The history was the best. He sat us, explained the menu and some dishes in great detail and just chatted us up. He was so nice and just a happy guy. Started our experience off well.

The server arrived quickly, and she was just lovely. She too took some time with us, chatted up the restaurant and the area (we’re newbies to Rapid City).

Then the food arrived. OMG. I don’t think we said a word during dinner other than, ‘this tastes insane’ and ‘get your fork outta my plate’. Delicious. Crazy delicious. We had Bison Marsala, Carbonara and a house salad. All of which were enough for two!

Highly recommend.

I came here for lunch and ordered Bison Maytag Marsala Mushroom. It was delicious and not salty as the other restaurant . The portion was big and tasty. The meat was tender. I also ordered a side salad since I love to eat noodles with salad. The restaurant was clean and wasn’t too noisy. Service was quick and attentive. The waitress was very kind, friendly, and has sense of humour. I stayed in the hotel next to it so I didn’t pay for parking. But if you drive, you will need to pay to park. No surprised since it’s downtown. I would love to come back.
