Cons: I was disappointed by the meatballs. To be honest, the consistency and size of them reminded me of frozen TV dinner meatballs. I was expecting a big, juicy, flavorful meatball and was met with 3 smaller-than-golfball sized meatballs that were dense and had a flavor of which I wasn’t a fan. We also thought the chocolate chip cookie was too salty, although it did have an enjoyable, lovely, soft, ooey-gooey consistency. Finally, we didn’t enjoy the music playing, which was modern pop sung by singers like Taylor Swift. I expected Italian or classical music to be playing, which would have elevated the atmosphere while I ate my spaghetti.
Overall, would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. I’d love to come back next time we visit Vegas and try even more beautifully- crafted and executed dishes.
The waitstaff were probably the nicest waitstaff I’ve ever interacted with. They were funny and engaging. I had come alone and they made the night very uplifting! My waitress was so kind and helpful, I wish I had gotten her name, she had glasses and an updo. And the waiter who came around with a gigantic pepper grinder was hilarious and so kind also
So I definitely made it a point to try this dish before I left.
The pasta was perfectly cooked to an al dente texture and the cream sauce was beautifully layered with a lemon cream sauce that was bright and flavorful. The grated Parmesan sent the dish to another level that brought everything together.
Other foods that were tried were the:
– Seafood Tour
– Pasta Bolognese
The service was top notch and our waiter explained the menu so thoroughly, I was tempted to buy everything on the menu.
I definitely will be back the next time I’m in town.
However, the food quality, especially considering the reputation of the famous chef, was not exceptional. The signature dish, the lemon spaghetti, was rather ordinary and a bit too dry. Other appetizers, including the octopus dish, were also not outstanding.
On the bright side, the 20oz Ribeye Steak was delicious; it had a pleasant smoky flavor and the portion size was satisfying.
Let’s start with the Atmosphere. The dining room is absolutely stunning. The display case with the antipasti and raw bar, gorgeous. However, there is a giant led marquee outside the windows that blasts the entire room with bright white light every few minutes was an ambiance killer.
Service, our server was aloof but prompt and attentive.
Now for the meals. We had an array of foods. Ranked in order of good to not great.
Focacchia, warm with lots of rosemary flavor, highlight was the caper dipping sauce.
Orzo meatballs, dense in texture but high in flavor.
Lemon Spaghetti, stunning presentation, lemony, bright, but very dry when you tried to pull the mass of noodles apart to eat.
Chicken parm, stuffed with buffalo mozzarella could’ve been more evenly cut so the ends didn’t dry out.
Lobster ravioli, nice and full of texture, lacking in flavor.
Creste di Gallo, w/bison ragu was mid, lacked any real flavor.
Bacon wrapped dates, the texture was mush and the flavors didn’t mesh well.
Tiramisu, high in espresso flavor but lacking in any real other flavors to tie it together.
Most disappointing was a luke warm lava cake with nuttella inside. Dry, not at all what you’d expect from a lava cake. Highlight of this dish was the Gelato served with it.
Overall, highly disappointing showing of Giada’s food. For the prices, not worth it.
The wall windows were nice to see out onto the strip area.
Overall, the food and cocktails were good, but the service was excellent! My expectations may have been too high since it is a Giada restaurant. I did expect more from the food.
