GREAT restaurant in downtown Saugatuck. Charming atmosphere and super delicious food. Our waitress was Grace and she was amazing. We enjoyed the short rib hummus (crazy good), and the Korean mac to start. Entrees were the lamb skewer and duck fried rice. We finished with the Baklava sundae. Our bellies were stretched full with deliciousness.

Highly recommend.

Had the smash burger for lunch. The best.

Came back for dinner. Had the short rib hummus, steak frites and fish & chips. All amazing (as always). Travel from Canada to spend time in Saugatuck. Duck Alley is always a must stop (multiple times). lol.

An anniversary dinner to remember.

We celebrated 36 years of marriage last night at Duck Alley, and it was absolutely outstanding. Everything was delicious, but the Duck Rice Bowl deserves a special call-out — rich, perfectly balanced, and truly memorable.

Great food, great atmosphere, and even better company. A perfect way to celebrate 36 years together. My only wish was that they had a Christmas tree or some festive lights.

I highly recommend.

Stopped in for lunch.

The Lobster & Shrimp Roll was fantastic. The chips that it came with were crisp and nicely spiced.

Only negative, is that they only have 3 beers on tap and when I was there 2 of them were out. So not much of a choice to choose from. 🙁

Nice atmosphere, great service.

Beet salad, seafood pesto pasta, and duck fried rice. Well cooked and tasty. Too much pasta and rice; less plus a veg for a better balance. Service and atmosphere in dining area was perfunctory..

We tried the Smash burger today with the “duck sauce”. The duck sauce is way better version of the Big Mac sauce, but without all the crap stuff. The burgers were cooked to perfection and the bun was sweater than expected. I honestly thought it was going to be a boring bun with sesame seeds. It was not, it was perfect. I just wish that this place was not 40 miles from my house because I would eat there at least once a week.

It has a upscale feel without the upscale prices. My burger was only 17 bucks and it came with Kettle chips that were house made. Top notch service and the beer by Revolution was a perfect treat. Oh we have a jeep and love the little ducks too.
You will see more of us for sure.

The food was wonderfully executed and I really appreciated the elevated touches such as the cohesive framed artwork, dinner ware, and pendant lights. Reservation recommended and parking challenging.

Duck Alley ended up being an okay experience, but not one that really stood out, especially when it came to the food. We stopped in for dinner and draft beer, and while the drinks were fine and served properly, the food itself was underwhelming. Nothing was outright bad, but it lacked flavor and felt more average than expected. It’s the kind of meal that fills you up but doesn’t leave much of an impression, which is disappointing given how many solid dining options are available nearby.

Service, however, was a bright spot. The staff was friendly, attentive, and did a good job keeping things moving without being pushy. From a service standpoint, there’s very little to complain about, and it helped smooth over some of the shortcomings in the kitchen.

The atmosphere leans heavily toward a sports bar vibe, with TVs, background noise, and a casual, social feel. That works well if you’re there to watch a game or meet up with friends, but it’s not a place you’d choose for a quieter or more food-focused dinner. Pricing felt fair for what we received, and there were no issues with seating, parking, or wait times during our visit.

Overall, Duck Alley is a decent option if you’re looking for a laid-back place to grab a beer and watch sports, but the food didn’t live up to the setting or the service. With so many other choices around, it’s not a place I’d go out of my way to return to unless the menu improves.

Long story short… we drove all the way from Chicago to this small town because we saw this place on Google and noticed it had such a high rating. We were really excited to try their duck.

Unfortunately, the food was incredibly bland. The duck and short ribs had no flavor — we even asked for hot sauce, but it didn’t help. The ribs were burnt, and the duck didn’t go well with the fried rice at all. We ended up leaving most of the food untouched.

To make things worse, the plates on the table when we arrived were dirty. They were replaced, but for a $50-per-person restaurant, that’s just not okay. Our dirty plates stayed on the table the entire time we were there.

Also worth noting — the kitchen was open, and trays with food prep items were placed right next to the bathroom door. I’ll attach a photo. Something about that setup feels unsanitary.

Definitely one of the most disappointing $100 meals we’ve ever had.

We celebrated our anniversary dinner here a few days ago and we had an exceptional experience. Our waitress was lovely and extremely attentive. All of our food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. We even received complimentary drinks and a candle in our dessert to celebrate our anniversary, which made us feel so special. Highly recommend for outstanding quality 🙂
