Not only should you go here but you should even go out of your way. I could go on and on about this place. Spacious, clean, tons of tvs with games on, and our bartender Sell was outstanding. With all that said the food here is truly special. I’m talking back at grandma’s house when everything seemed normal. The Italian beef was life changing, I am absolutely sold.

Came for lunch on a Sunday to try Italian beef based on rave reviews. There was a group of 12 and 2 people at the bar already present. Bartender was also waitress for everyone. Got our drinks right away and place orders for Italian beef sandwiches. 40 minutes later food finally arrived. Roast beef didn’t disappoint, homemade chips were pretty salty. Waitress needed help.

This is the best Resturant in Decatur. It is the best Calzone anywhere. I have been eating here since 2000. This was my first time back since 2008. It was just as perfect as the first one in 2000. Clean bathrooms. Friendly staff. It’s not a fancy place but it is cozy and will never disappointed!!

Thirty years ago, when we first married, Sunday nights were pizza night with our parents. We could not afford to buy take-out, so Sunday night pizza night was one way for our parents to support us. We had a locally owned pizza place that was THE place for Sunday Night Pizza Night. We have seriously considered driving four hours one way to enjoy it again. We have newly instituted Saturday night Pizza night with our kids this Spring. We are looking for THE place to make Saturday night pizza night a new tradition in our family. These are our experiences based on our likes and dislikes. Pizza is one of those things that everyone has a different favorite. Here is our opinion of…Sloan’s Calzones. The crust is similar to a cracker. We did not dislike the crust, but we also didn’t love it. The sauce was savory which is what we are looking for. It did seem dry, and we would have liked more sauce. We also would have liked more cheese. We ordered the Hawaiian and the Works. I would expect the works to be loaded with toppings and it wasn’t. However, the sausage was a good quality and flavorful. The Hawaiian seemed to lack flavor. This is not what we were looking for and we did not enjoy it enough to order again. That doesn’t mean you should not give it a try. Sloan’s Calzones is a crispy crust, savory sauce pizza.

We went as a family of 5. Our server was awesome! Food came out fresh and hot. The calzones were perfect. My husband got the atomic wings, and they did not disappoint. They are as hot as they say! Great place to take the kids for lunch!

We love good pizza and this one was perfect for that day. The best pizza in town, the place is pretty good, clean and quiet, also the staff is very friendly. You need to stop here if you want a good pizza .

Work downtown and came in for lunch, got it quick enough to eat there and come back to work. Staff was friendly and got my amazing breadsticks within minutes and this amazing and delicious calzone within minutes after that. The breadsticks were amazing and seasoned with all the parm I could ever want. Cheese sauce was good with the calzone and the breadsticks. The calzone was hot, fresh and extremely delicious. Will definitely go back once the situation arises!

Love this place! The deep dish and the calzones are both immaculate. The lunch pick a slice, is great as well. Definitely worth a try wether you’re a Decatur native or visiting. One of the locally owned and operated greats!
