Nice local place for cheap beers and entertainment. Have a large rear patio with a fully stocked tiki bar so you don’t have to go all the way inside to get a drink when a band is playing. Locals were friendly. The negatives were no food, (except burned looking pizza stored in a warmer), and if your not a regular, service will be slow even if your tipping and the regulars don’t…

I was in town working (I consistently travel for work), my birthday was actually being celebrated by my coworkers. I was taken to this bar and had what I thought to be a great time, so I thought. The bartenders were absolutely fantastic and welcoming. The band that played that night was amazing! After my coworkers started to feel uncomfortable with side talk and stares (unbeknownst to me) we finally decided to leave. As we’re leaving and going to pay (my coworkers spent a lot for my celebration at this “establishment”) I was stopped by a lady proclaiming to be the owner ‘Traci Smith’ she made it very clear to me with a smile on her face that “my kind wasn’t welcome here”, I spoke my peace, we paid & left. After further investigation Traci Smith so happens to actually be the owner. Many things I wish to have done or said, but the best thing to do is inform folks to be mindful of where they’re welcomed and where they spend their money. As for our group of (white, gay, African American & Hispanic) we wouldn’t recommend spending a dollar here. I wish for this to be of no representation of the bar staff, as they were very open and welcoming to us, as for the owner I hope you have some change of heart on how you look onto others, as I’m sure you have LGBT or mixed races in your family.
Very disappointed in poor representation and customer service of such a sweet welcoming town of New Philadelphia. Do better guys!

1st experience at this establishment.. The bartender followed me inside because she was smoking outside and asked what I was drinking, got said drink, wanted to order a shot, had to wait for the bartender to finish smoking outside, she came back in, counted her tips, changed out $20 dollars in denominations, and then took my shot order. Service is pretty rough here for a 1st time customer

Heard it was a great place to go locally, but apparently that only means if you are local. A group of co-workers who were in town setting up our store went in to celebrate one of their birthdays. It was quite obvious they we’re not welcome by lack of service and glances and chatter. There was a variety of people in the group, some Hispanic some African American and some Gay. As they were leaving due to terrible experience a woman claiming to be owner told them ” your kind are not welcome here”. Pretty sad to see racism and homophobia alive and well in New Philadelphia

It has definitely improved since the new owners took over a few years ago. Decent selection of drinks. Usually pretty good live music. Unfortunately, there is a bartender, Ashley, that always takes herself tips out of the change she gives back to you. She did it to us on several occasions!

Is there a better bar for live music in the area? I don’t think so

It is a small venue and pretty laid back. It was enjoyable to just hang out, no decisions, no fuss. I enjoyed the evening. I used to live in New Philadelphia and when I return I like to visit this place.
Great for keeping it going all of these years.
