Nice staff and cute place. Got the Naughty Hot Chocolate – loved it! They had gelato too, it’s looked yum, did not try it though. Visited during a holiday weekend and the queue quickly built up!

There are a good amount of coffee shops within Helen, but after looking through many websites and reviews I was still drawn back to The Mason Jar Coffee & Gelato.
I’m visiting from San Diego and I felt like I was kinda back home. I had good vibes and the people working there were chill and cool. I’m actually glad I went there since I was the only customer at the time, I walked around the downtown area and passed by a competing coffee shop that was jammed pack. (Around 8-9am)
I had a hot chai latte, and it was delicious! They have lots of seasonal items and I recommend looking at their menu posted online on their website, especially if you like to know ahead of time exactly what you want to order like I do! I loved that it mentions how they incorporate local produce into their menu items, and that they share what ingredients they have available to craft the special drink you want if it’s not on their menu.
Space inside is limited, but outside seating is available with tables and chairs right out the door. Open daily from 8am!

As you can imagine for Thanksgiving weekend in Helen, everything was super busy! Jason and the barista crew did an amazing job with taking orders and informing the customers of the wait (which was short considering how busy everything is!) The coffees were delicious (wonderful seasonal drink selections!) hot and perfect on this cold day. I asked for a carrier for the drinks and one of the baristas even brought it outside where I was waiting with a great smile. Thank you!

I LOVED the ice cream here so creamy and delicious! The flavors were amazing and the place has such a cute vibe. It is soooo tiny like literally blink and you’ll miss it, but honestly everything else is super good! Totally worth the stop if you’re in Helen!

I love coffee. My husband loves gelato. This was a match made in heaven!
The shop is very small; no indoor seating and four people fit in the shop so the line was out the door. The barista was quiet but had fantastic customer service working diligently and patiently with some of the grumpy customers.
I stepped out of my cortado bubble and ordered an affogato; salted caramel gelato and two shots of espresso. It was scrumptious. The coffee bean used is roasted by Because Coffee.

The Latte with cinnamon sugar beats the competition by far, the “Naughty hot chocolate is very good too. We hates to leave and travel home, we will miss this little coffee place, but will be back soon. Wish I could give 10 stars.

I recommend the Chai Latte iced with cinnamon on top. On a hot afternoon, go for a watermelon mint lemonade refresher. The roasted whole beans are an affordable $15/bag. Thank you, Jeremiah, you’re awesome!

We made a quick stop here on our quick trip to Halen, since it’s a small shop and we only ordered two things here, I will keep my review short and sweet for this one.
My son ordered Caramel Coconut Latte, which was Awesome. We all loved it. Daughter ordered Coffee Latte I believe and it was good as well. Just not as good as caramel coconut.

Atmosphere: The space is really small and cozy. I love the dark green accents and the shelving that held coffee beans and other items they had for sale!
Service: The workers here were constantly busy because there was always a line out the door! The experience wasn’t the most personable, but again, it could have been because of the busyness.
Menu items: The coffee here is SO good! I had the Maple Pancake latte with oatmilk 2x when I was on the trip and ended up getting blueberry cheesecake gelato when I was there. I love it when they put the little waffles on top!
There is also a store right next door that is associated with the coffee shop, so you can get some souvenirs while you’re in that area!
