Jog down memory lane. I used to eat at an “El Torito” growing up but that place closed down. Food and drinks were amazing. Menu options were just like back in the day. Fried ice cream is fun but we were too full to get it. Great portion sizes and flavorful.

I regularly am in the Milpitas/ San Jose area for work. I have driven past this restaurant many times but had never stopped by. This was very close to my hotel one day so I decided to stop by after work and let me tell you, make the stop! I was pleasantly surprised by their prices and happy hour menu for every day, 3pm-9pm. That’s unheard of! I ordered these delicious margarita flights for just $10 and perfectly flavorful queso birria tacos for just $8! The staff was quick and attentive. Everyone looked happy to be there. 10/10 for atmosphere. Added bonus for sports fans- they had tv screens where I was sitting in case you want to come and watch a game or fight. I wish there was one closer to me! Must try!

I always enjoy my time at El Torito. I always sit at the bar since when I first started coming I would always finish up my work from the previous job I was at. The guys at the bar, especially Juan O. and Gio, always do a good job at checking in on me since I’m generally on the quieter side.

Anna was amazing! So full of energy and incredibly sweet. We came in just as happy hour was ending, and she went above and beyond to make sure we got our last call in. She also recommended some fantastic drinks we absolutely loved. Thanks to her, we’ll definitely be coming back for more!

10 stars for Vincent! He truly made my dad’s birthday celebration great and enjoyable for our whole family. It was a busy night and he was managing everything on his own, but you would never have known it. He stayed attentive, friendly, and made sure all of his guests — including us — were taken care of in a timely manner. We really appreciated how calm and professional he was despite how packed it was.
The food all came out perfect and tasted amazing — in fact, every single one of us cleaned our plates! That says a lot.
Great food and outstanding service from El Torito. We’ll definitely be back!

Came here recently for the all-you-can-eat Sunday brunch buffet and overall, it was just okay.
The food wasn’t bad, but nothing really stood out. There’s a good variety with a taco bar, traditional Mexican dishes, and some dessert options, so there’s definitely something for everyone. It just didn’t wow me for the price.
The staff was very friendly and attentive, which I appreciated and probably the highlight of the visit.
The restaurant itself feels a bit old, and unfortunately it also came off slightly dirty in some areas, which took away from the experience.
Overall, it’s not a bad spot, but I don’t think the Sunday brunch buffet is worth the price.

Average Tex-Mex food. Fajitas with beef shrimp and chicken were great. The sides rice and beans were cold not good. Flan was very good. Guacamole table side too much lime it overpowered it. Good service. Okay margaritas
