Stopped in at Iron Rooster for the first time! I was always a bit hesitant to come here because I recall everyone complaining about the wait time but maybe it was the weather but we only had to wait for about 15 minutes or so. Since this location is also placed within an outdoor shopping area, it was perfect so that we can keep ourselves occupied while we waited. They have a text messaging system so you can browse and not miss your turn for your table!

Once we got checked in, we were immediately seated at our table and Crystal came by to welcome us and take our drink orders. She was super friendly and very attentive despite the busy time.

Overall, the prices are not too bad considering the portions sizes. We got the deviled eggs to share for the table. It was delicious! The yolk was creamy, which paired well with the bacon and pickle onions. I got the BLT and OMG, the sheer amount of bacon was overwhelming (in a good way). I honestly could not finish it. The brioche was a perfect vessel for the sandwich bc it held everything together so nicely! the egg that it came with also was the perfect pairing still making it somewhat of a breakfast dish!

I do highly recommend checking this place out! I was sad I forgot to order their ‘pop tart’ as this was what they’re known for!

As a long time traveller to Baltimore, I have been hearing about The Iron Rooster for years and had it on my radar for a while.

I was finally presented with an opportunity to go this past Sunday, and it didn’t disappoint.

All of the food was excellent, but the standout to me were the breakfast egg rolls off the appetizer menu. It was like a hot pocket on steroids.

The service was what you want out of a restaurant – very friendly, but not badgering. Everyone I encountered was very pleasant.

The restaurant was jam packed on a Saturday morning. Usually when places are consistently busy, you know they’re good.

I’ll keep the Rooster in my regular rotation of Baltimore breakfast spots.

First time here, the atmosphere was great. Full house, friends and families gathered for a meal. Wait staff was polite (well except the host, she didn’t speak) and they checked on us often. The pop tarts were delicious! We had 4 different meals and 3 of the 4 were great. Big portions, hot, and tasted good. We did not care for the breakfast tacos…. The meat had a cinnamon taste to it.
Overall highly recommend and will return.

I would have given this restaurant a 4 because it seems everyone enjoyed the food. Service wasn’t awful. My 75 yr old MIL and her sister really like it here. I am rating it low because the waitress wrote in big bold letters on our order that I had a dairy allergy (I get violently ill) and they cooked my food in something with Dairy. The waitress said “the Chef said it would be safe…”it was cooked in butter oil.” When I explained that butter oil was not dairy free she apologized several times and offered to get me a cup of fruit instead. I could not eat my $25 dollar meal and no one offered to cook something without dairy or remove it from the check. I know it is challenging for restaurants to understand allergies sometimes but they should make it right. The waitress may have forgotten to tell them who knows. So I watched everyone else eat. I did not like the layout of the restaurant to me it looked like a cafe. Other people may like a layout like that. The beer was good.

My husband, my 3-year-old son, and I had brunch here after a long weekend visiting Baltimore from Philadelphia. The food was very good and the service was excellent. I enjoyed the extra-large booths with a young kiddo in tow.

But the most important part of our experience came after we left the restaurant. I realized upon arriving in Philadelphia that we left my son’s jacket behind. His jacket was no longer available online and I debated buying a new one since he will probably be a different size next winter. Dropping another $100 or so didn’t seem worth it with only a month or so of super cold weather left.

I contacted Iron Rooster via its website regarding the jacket, half expecting to never receive a response. Not only did the General Manager, Kerri, respond to me quickly, she also offered to mail back the jacket FREE OF CHARGE. I got it the next day. Little things like this make all the difference, especially when it sometimes feels like the world doesn’t support parents or families. Super thankful to have the jacket back and we got to use it to enjoy one more snowstorm yesterday!!!! Thank you for the gracious hospitality, we hope to be back soon.

During a brunch outing with a friend, our enjoyable conversation was disrupted by the arrival of our food. Everything looked so bland. Upon examining my plate, I was disturbed to find a hair and what appeared to be dirt. A closer look revealed another hair in my eggs, which caused me significant distress. The manager was quickly alerted and asked if I wanted my meal remade, which struck me as a redundant question. Furthermore, the crab dip I ordered was disappointing, consisting mainly of cream cheese with a meager sprinkling of crab meat on top, and was overpriced at $20. Considering the inconvenience I experienced, I anticipated that my breakfast meal would be free of charge or half off, but this was not the case. Notwithstanding, our waiter delivered exceptional service. We won’t be returning!!

The food was presented pretty. Everything was loaded with salt. Our whole party was tasting things. We called the manager. She told us that they’ve been serving the same things all day with no complaints, as if that invalidated what we had. I’m not sure if it was the waitress’ first day on the job but her service was terrible! She kept forgetting things. I waited forever for a refill of water! It was our first time here but I’ll never come back.

We ordered the chicken and French toast, but the potatoes were bland. We also tried the crab dip, which was disappointing—especially for $19.95—since it contained very little crab. The restaurant was extremely loud, making it hard to have a conversation at the table. Overall, the experience did not meet our expectations.
