My niece has been missing her food . Took her here and we split an order of pupusas (her favorite!). My mom got food as well and the portion of shrimp on her plate was huge compared to a lot of other restaurants. Everyone at the restaurant was very nice, attentive. Food was great. My niece SO happy that she wanted a photo in front of the restaurant

I always get the chicharrón also the chicharrón pupusas… They are always delicious… hot and fresh. The pupusas are huge, definitely shareable, and you get 4. I love this place.

Authentic, delicious, Friendly staff, and a chance to practice my Spanish. The pupusas are the best, especially the jalapeño

I only had the pupusas, they were right on spot, delicious! That day they had guanaba drink. I was most certainly pleased that the drink was actually made from the fruit and not powder. The price for the pupusas was also great! The size of the pupusas was well balanced. I was very pleased with the overall experience. Of you’re on the area for some delicious pupusas, Ilobasco is most definitely the place to go. The place was clean as well as the bathrooms. The sanitary score at the time was a respectful 95.

Great place with delicious food. Attached to a small grocery with a good selection of spices and Hispanic foods. Highly recommended for a meal or to pick up some groceries!
Updated: still amazing. Get the papusas, you will not be disappointed!!

This was our first experience with El Salvadorian food. My friend from Texas was on vacation visiting me and she accompanied us to the restaurant. Her husband is El Salvadorian, so she is quite familiar with the different foods.
Our waitress was not friendly at all but she was accommodating when we asked for anything we needed.
I tried a horchata (a cold rice-based drink) for the first time—it was delicious. I ordered queso pupusas (my friend suggested those) and they were good. My friend and her husband make pupusas at their home and she said the ones at this restaurant were good. I tried curtido for the first time and found it to be very good. It reminded me of a very tangy Americanized version of cole slaw.
After our meal, we walked through the El Salvadorian grocery store which sits next to the restaurant. I bought a loaf of El Salvadorian sweet bread. It was very good, especially with coffee.
The foods we tried were good but the atmosphere wasn’t very welcoming and it made me feel a little uncomfortable. I think in the future, if we want food from this restaurant, we’ll get an order to take out.

My husband and I have eaten here twice in the past week. Both times, the food was delicious! I would highly recommend the pupusas, beef tacos, garnachas carne asada (especially the garnachas )The curtido which is served with many things at this restaurant is really yummy!!! The chicharrones are also very good, but they are prepared a bit differently from what we are accustomed to. They are chunks of pork belly that are fried. They are very thick and meaty.
The prices are fair for the amount of food they give you.
Both times our server was very nice and attentive.
We’ll definitely be going back!!
I want to post photos, but Google won’t let me do it for some reason.

So, this was my first time eating here on. I’ve tried their food before and since it was good the last time, I thought I would enjoy it again, unfortunately, that was not the case. So, here’s the good, the bad, and the ugly
Good: horchata, friendly waitress and quick service
Bad: the pupusas we tried were not flavorful at all, not sure if they were having an off night or what but it was not good. The empanadas looked more like burritos
Ugly: upon entering this restaurant, you are greeted with a large gentleman who will pat you down and ask if you were carrying weapons, especially if you dont look like a Latino.
Based on that, it is clear this area is not safe and not worth exposing myself for poor/ mediocre food.
