Cattleman’s Roadhouse is a locally owned, Kentucky Proud restaurant. We are not a chain, but we do now have several locations in the surrounding area. We are just a couple of Kentucky boys serving great steaks! We pride ourselves in local buying and suppliers. When we opened our first restaurant, we scoured the state to find the best quality foods possible. Our steaks are aged 28 days, hand-cut, and are second to none in tenderness and flavor. Our burgers are Aspen Ridge All Natural Beef that is certified, humanely raised, with NEVER any antibiotics. From our locally sourced produce to our handmade desserts by Helen, we strive to serve better quality foods than other casual restaurants.

Nine of us from work went here for lunch. Even though it was lunch-time they seated us very quickly. I had the Thursday special: a small fried chicken breast with white gravy, a side and the salad bar.
Like I said the chicken was kind of small, but it was very good, and it was lunch, and the salad bar was included, so there was plenty.
The salad bar was good – I’m a fan of the potato salad – but their honey mustard salad dressing is disappointing.

After waiting longer than I ever have here—the steak my husband and I were served were overcooked and crumbled like sand in our mouths. No amount of A1 would fix it. Upon telling the waitress what was wrong with it, she was acting like “not true!” I mean she was more than welcome to taste it. They didn’t credit my husband’s (which was even worse than mine), and just charged my “salad bar.” (You can see in the picture that it’s dry—and yet still had some pink in it. I’m not even sure how that’s possible). There were burnt edges as well.
This was one of my families favorites, but won’t be back. In addition to the terrible food, we had to listen to the manager take care of business with servers about days off, some kind of basket, telling them they couldn’t leave until they did their “side jobs.” Very unprofessional. Our waitress starting eating her food while still serving our table. It was 3:00 on a Monday. Not busy at all. No excuse for any of it.

From the minute we arrived at Cattleman’s we received gold star service. Gentry was our server and she was amazing!! I explained it was our first time as I just moved to the area. She explained the menus and gave us recommendations. The food was amazing! My friends bone in ribeye was delicious as were the rolls, potatoes and my chicken. Jen, the manager stopped by and was also amazing. She shared about the weekly specials and invited us back! I can’t wait to take my friends and family! We will be back

Terribly disappointing steak dinner. Does not compare to Texas Roadhouse!! The salad bar was almost empty, my medium steak came out rare, the server never came back to our table to check on our meal (delivered by the kitchen), no refills, no check. We had to go find someone to get our check. $88 and truly a disappointment. I cannot think of a steakhose I have been to in past 10 years that was this bad.

I went to Cattleman’s Steakhouse for my birthday, and it was very disappointing. We asked to sit near the bar for a comfortable spot with the TV, but were told nothing was available and ended up by the salad bar instead, likely because Louisville was playing. The salad bar was good — 4.5/5 stars. We both originally asked for medium steaks. When the server returned, we asked for medium-well instead, but even after she took the steaks back to be redone, they still came out mid-rare — the New York strip rare and the cowboy ribeye mid-rare, with blood running over our potatoes. The manager removed the steaks from our bill but offered no apology and said they normally put customer-touched steaks back on the grill, which was concerning. We didn’t keep the steaks but still left an $8 tip. We had planned to enjoy birthday drinks and dessert, but the server never returned after taking our meal order. Since getting home, I’ve had to use the bathroom multiple times and even vomited, which was very unpleasant. The restaurant was clean and presentable, with plenty of managers, but clearly lacked enough servers. Poor service, mishandled steaks, and zero acknowledgment of a birthday celebration made this a very disappointing visit. Unfortunately, we cannot take the chance of returning to this restaurant again. We live in Louisville and love trying new places.We were so excited and let down.

Easy to find, parking with no problem. Seated right away. We ordered the special . 6 oz bourbon glazed sirloin w/ side & salad bar. Very fresh bar, clean, neat and well stocked. A lot of items are homemade daily- potato salad, Mac. Salad etc. Great bar steaks came out very quickly , Mac and cheese was creamy and rich !!! Steak cooked perfectly. Wasn’t a big fan of the glaze but ok . Husband had sweet potato with his. Above his expectations as well. Overall a great date night and wonderful experience. We will return if not just for the salad bar .
