Was throughly impressed with what seemed to be a cheesy chain. Family owned and delicious. Stopped at Spartanburg SC location after seeing multiple locations on the drive up to NC and back. I didn’t see any Mexican papas, but the beer was cold. Glad we tried it. Will definitely return. The sauce bar was on point. Although I didn’t know the names, there was several delicious ones. Table chips and salsa, is replaced with chips and refried beans dip, yum. Service was excellent, cocktail list was a little pricey, but the value for price for entrees was good. Left full, happy and had leftovers. Back to the road tripping.

Unfortunately the customer service needs massive improvement, our server rarely checked in with us to see how we were doing. Hence the reason for a 4 star review.

Amazing! Party of 15- every dish came out HOT and together at the same time! Not one complaint about the food or drinks. Service was awesome, very friendly! Very clean restaurant. Did a great job with social distancing. Everyone wore masks, patrons and staff alike. Salsa varieties are wonderful. Bean dip that comes with the chips is fantastic. Rice was PERFECT! I’ve never had better. From the tacos to the fajitas to the burritos and the quesadillas, everything was absolutely incredible. Margaritas were a hit too. Birthday celebration for one of the kids was great! Again, socially distanced celebration and it was no less special than “normal”. We will be back! Highly recommend!

Food was absolutely delicious, and I Would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Very savory and it’s better than a lot of Mexican restaurants here in the Spartanburg area. I’m from Georgia and have tried various Mexican restaurants here and Papa and beers is definitely up there!!

I did like this atmosphere better then another one close by. Our waitress was great. She had to help me decide. They have too many options Our two dishes were enough for four people. I’ll definitely go back.
