The first thing I noticed when I came inside was the merengue, bachata, and salsa music playing, which was strange to me, considering this is a Oaxacan/Mexican restaurant. Overall, however, this restaurant is one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been to. I ordered the pozole, which was a bit musty-tasting from all the pork fat, though it was very good otherwise; but they also offer an immense variety of other foods to the point that, had I not looked at the menu before coming, I would’ve found it nearly impossible to decide. I highly recommend this place, especially if you’re looking for a Mexican restaurant specializing in food from Oaxaca rather than Jalisco or Michoacán like most Mexican places in Atlanta.

One of my favorite places to go to when I am in the area. I am a forever fan. This place is sooooo yummy! I always get their carne asada tacos. Very authentic and prices are reasonable. I come here like 3 times a week to get my taco fix

I used to come here all the time. The food was amazing, just as I remembered. I ordered the 1/4 chicken. It came with onions and peppers (I opted out of the peppers) as well as beans, rice, a small salad, and 5 hand-made tortillas. I haven’t had a rotisserie chicken this good in a long time. The skin was crispy. Everything was so flavorful! My waitress was great, knowledgeable, and attentive. It didn’t take long for my food to come out.

Has been around for a long time and is easily the best Mexican food in the area. Has started to get much busier recently but the quality has not dropped a bit. Great selection and quality for both authentic and Tex-Mex dishes.

I was beyond excited to try this authentic Oaxacan food and it did not disappoint! Everything is so full of traditional flavors and cooked super well. The chicken Mole was an absolute fave and I also tried all four tamales on the menu. The Mole and beef were the best in my opinion but you really can’t go wrong. This restaurant is busy with a diverse customer base so you know it’s good! Definitely give it a try!

I had high hopes for this place, and it is not bad, it is just average. I tried several plates; barbacoa, tacos (several different meats), chiles rellenos and sopes. Everything was ok, nothing else exceptional or delicious. Granted there is more to try, I normally find that any one plate is a good indicator of the rest of the menu. I was disappointed because my home state is Oaxaca, and Im really in search of something worth that name. FYI, Food from Oaxaca is considered some of the best in Mexico so there is a high standard.
Service was great and friendly. The aguas frescas were pretty good, we had pineapple, horchata and Jamaica. The guacamole was decent, but not worthy of saying it was above average.

I really like their food. I rate it with 4 stars. I don’t like their customer service. They don’t offer service water. They want their customers to buy bottled water or soda. There’s additional charge on the chips they serve which is supposed to be a freebie. It’s so disappointing. Me and my husband are not coming back. We rather go to Monterey Mexican Restaurant or La Fiesta. They offer free water and free chips even in your take out order.

The food was great but the service was subpar. I had to ask for more chips, drink refills, the check. They weren’t very attentive and didn’t seem to check in on us often. The food was pretty good though. Almost made up for the service.
