Our server Tiffany was exceptional! She was attentive, knowledgeable, kind and incredibly service-oriented. I came for lunch with a close friend and began to order the Walnut Crusted Chicken Salad, but instead started with the Chicken Tortilla soup, then the Chicken Fried Chicken with traditional gravy, broccoli and fresh roasted beets with fresh thyme and everything was outstanding. Lunch entrées come with a homemade basket of breads and three sides, which is such a nice touch.
Add in a full service bar, beautiful patio and the fact that they support local producers, makes this place a gem. I enjoyed it so much that I’ll definitely be returning again and again to experience all that Celebration has to offer!
The table ordered soup, fried chicken, fried catfish, baked chicken, grilled salmon, and a handful of sides. The lentil soup was very good, but everything else was just OK! None of the food was particularly hot, and with fried food, it’s gotta be hot! The veggie sides were warm at best… seemed most of the food was cooked in advance, which allowed for speedy delivery, but quality suffered. Desserts were also just OK, even the kids didn’t finish them.
Service was great! But, beyond that, our visit was disappointing. The place had received a lot of hype from family. We don’t need to go back.
We tried their tortilla soup (very delicious), pear salad (not a fan of blue cheese), garden salad (their croutons are yummy!) chicken fried chicken (tender chicken with a yummy crispy batter), chicken fried steak (very good), trout (a little too buttery for me), red fish (delicious), mashed potatoes (like any other restaurant mash), macaroni and cheese (bland, needs more cheese/seasoning), vegetable medley (good), berry cobbler (good), coconut cream pie (if you are a coconut lover like me, you’ll love this) and banana pudding (it was a no for me).
Will definitely return!
Pros:
– accommodating staff
– quiet interior
– good spacing between tables
– cozy and warm
– affordable prices
– locally sourced ingredients
– fresh flavors and changing menu
– the best dinner rolls on the planet
Cons:
– feels like someone’s house, not in a good way
– no decor at all. Zero.
– very cramped parking lot with bad accessibility
– flavors are overtly rich and over complex
– very dark inside, only harsh overhead lighting
– not set up for sound dampening, very loud
Overall I’m glad I came so I could try the chicken, but once was enough. I will definitely not be coming back to try more of the menu or recommending this place to anyone.
Every part of the meal from the breads and salad, soup, pick 3 veggies and entrees, to the desserts were so tasty. Portions were great, and prices very fair, especially for the area.
I really appreciated that the hostess took my husband and I to a smaller room to dine, making for a more quiet and intimate experience next to other couples/duos. The seating in my side (booth) was comfortable and a good table height. Sounds like a weird observation, but if you’ve ever sat in a booth where the table was too tall, you know it feels like you’re a toddler eating at the grown ups table. So this was a great improvement versus many many restaurants we’ve been to.
The owners happened to come by testing out some chairs while we were dining, and graciously gave us 2 desserts free of charge. Coconut cream pie, and banana pudding. They made sure our meal was up to par as well. The two seemed like very nice people that really care for their business and customers.
Overall, extremely pleased with our first time there. No complaints at all.
The food is fantastic and huge amount of it along with the entree–3 sides plus rolls/cornbread….
We went back 3 times in 2 weeks!!
