So while moving my friend to Simpsonville, SC (right outside of Greenville), we stopped at the Coach House restaurant for dinner before hitting the road back to Florida to finish packing. Was looking for some down home cooking and we found it. Menu took us a bit to decide as all the “diner” favorites were there plus. Friend had the Roast Beef, mashed potatoes, and broccoli casserole. Devoured the roast beef with Thumbs Up… but did ask to return the broccoli casserole for green beans. Casserole was starchy and gummy but to their credit we were late diners. They were very gracious! I had the Chicken Fried Steak… where I am from it’s called a Fritter… AND yum. Pounded thin and tender with a light crispy crust. My sides were respectable but a bit ordinary and the cornbread…. uhhhh I mean corncake was tasty. They shined on the desserts… in an old fashioned glass dessert wheel… our many decades old faces peered at them through the glass like we were children. Friend decided on the decadent Chocolate Cheesecake and I got the Eclair. Not stingy!!! I had custard dripping down my chin. Took us 2 days of midnight girl talk to eat these rich, luscious treats and eat them we did. Service was excellent, food came out hot and spot on to our requests. As I plan on visiting the area a couple times a year… will also visit the Coach House again…. oh Eclair and fritter of my dreams here I come.

We discovered this restaurant thanks to positive reviews. First of all, the positive reviews are true. The food was fantastic. The food was freshly prepared and very tasty. I haven’t had chips as good as those here in a long time. The selection of cakes was enormous; unfortunately, I was already so full from my meal that there was no room for it, even with the best will in the world. I hope I get the chance to try one sometime. The service was excellent. The staff were super friendly and attentive. Thank you for letting me be your guest.

The food was hot and fresh. The fried porkchops were great. The vegetables were hot and tasty. The waitress did a great job. We would have gotten desert, but we were full. The deserts look delicious and they say they are home made. We will be back.

I ordered a two pcs catfish dinner with fries and a sweet tea. It cost me 27.00 and some change. The fish was soggy the fries was hard and cold. I called and spoke with them regarding the order I was told to bring it back I had no ride to do so and the ride that picked it up for me had already left. The man I spoke with was rude and unprofessional. I asked him if he could refund it he stated I should have picked it up earlier and I said regardless the customer is always right. He stated no the customer is not always right. At the end of the day poor service is never excepted and poor customer service should be addressed. I am highly disappointed of this meal and should have been taken care of. Yet I sit here still hungry. Shame on you

The food was good I took a Star aware for the dessert. We had the opportunity to meet the owner after dinner and asked for a dessert recommendation he honestly couldn’t give us on but they were nasty. Very pretty and plated well. All of the meals we had was great pancake, French toast, bang bang shrimp, gyro and fries. When dining in they give you a variety basket of breads which was also delicious

Had an absolutely perfect meal! Mother’s Day is always ridiculously busy everywhere. Called two other places and they had over an hour wait. Coach House seated us as soon as we walked in. Had a bit of a wait from the time we got drinks to seeing our waitress (I think it was just a miscommunication), but a perfect experience after. Staff was more than accomplishing and just plain nice! Food was incredible. Blueberry pancakes (batter is insanely good), scrambled eggs, enormous slices of French toast for the daughter, very good turkey sausage. Splurged and got dessert-all made in-house. I had coconut cream pie, hubs had plain cheesecake; got a cannoli and an eclair to go. Just amazing!

Went for an early dinner at Coach House around 3:30pm; no wait, got a table right away. Restaurant wasn’t crowded, ordered food, prepared & served rather quickly! Server, Tina, was very friendly, courteous & took very good care of us! The food was piping hot & very delicious!! Their Boom Boom Shrimp over Rice was the perfect blend of sweet & a touch of heat for the right balance of flavor to excite your taste buds! Their Collard Greens are ALWAYS a favorite for me with the pepper vinegar & their tasty corn bread! For a delicious down home meal when you aren’t up for cooking it yourself, you can’t go wrong with Coach House!!!

Great staff. My turkey and dressing meal was very good. My dad’s ribeye steak sandwich was very tough but he did not say anything. I liked the $14.99 lunch specials. His was market price & with waters to drink the bill was a little over $40 which made it an expensive place to eat for seniors for lunch.
