Best Pizza in the Springs – Maybe all of Colorado! We’ve lived all around Colorado for 15 years and good pizza has alluded us until now. This is legit New York style pizza and is excellent in every way – from the sauce, the crust, and the cheese, to super high quality ingredients. From plain cheese to their incredible mushrooms – to the way they slice the veggie toppings thin so they cook perfectly- everything is amazing! The sausage and pepperoni are also fantastic. We recently tried the Vodka pie which is outrageous- the sauces, buttery herb crust and bits of basil are so good it should be outlawed. We order from here consistently and it’s good every single time. Coming from a family of New Yorkers – they would approve of this place – and the owner is so sweet and kind. Do yourself a favor and check them out – you will not be disappointed.

Upstate Pizzeria is the closest thing I’ve found to home in 14 years, and I don’t say that lightly. One bite in and I was instantly transported back to Upstate New York—so much so that I literally had to FaceTime my mother and tell her I finally found real PIZZER again. The quality is unreal: the crust, the sauce, the balance… it’s all done right, no shortcuts, no gimmicks. This is the kind of pizza that reminds you why you fell in love with pizza in the first place. If you grew up with true upstate pizza, this place will hit you straight in the soul. And if you didn’t? Congratulations—you’re about to understand what the hype has always been about. Moose (pizza master) and owner were incredibly welcoming and told us to give “honest” feedback .. this is honest because he was honest… you just don’t get service like this anymore. 10/10 ! We will be back! BBQ chicken pizza was my favorite and I don’t like onions … but by the way, they were rustically grilled with perfection I would order double next time. Buffalo chicken could’ve used a little more spicy sauce, but we arrived later in the lunch experience so I’m assuming that fresh it would’ve been perfect! The prices were perfectly set..and if anything the value is way more than what you pay!! Thanks again!

Decided to stop in with my girlfriend as this has been a place on our list for pizza to try. The pizza and service did not disappoint! Moose was attentive and super friendly, had us laughing. The overall experience was excellent. However the dine-in side of it could use some help if you are looking for an upstate feel. Reminiscent of a high school cafeteria kitchen with better art and a semi clubhouse feel. But don’t be mistaken. Everything about this place is exactly what you want if you dig NY style pizza. Very unique flavors and seasoning. The onions on the bbq chicken bacon pizza were so rustic and subtle but I found myself eating the onions off like chips. 9.5/10 you won’t regret it.

Little hole-in-the-wall vibes, so don’t expect a fancy atmosphere but the pizza was delicious and the service was great. We received a friendly energetic greeting as soon as we walked in and were given a solid recommendation as opposed to the usual “it’s all good” cop-out everyone likes to use. Moose recommended his own creation – had the two types of pepperoni, hot honey, basil and dollops of ricotta cheese. The ingredients really complimented each other. The food didn’t take incredibly long and the garlic knots were solid too. We especially appreciate a place that has Tabasco— it’s the little things for us. Definitely would come back! Included a photo of the outside because Google Maps will make you think you’re in the wrong place since it just looks like a warehouse on the outside and there’s only a small sign on the actual door.

We ordered a large pizza and their hot honey garlic wings, and everything was absolutely fantastic! The pizza was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, while the wings were crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with delicious flavor. The hot honey garlic sauce was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. Highly recommend Upstate Pizzeria if you’re looking for great food and quality service!

Hands down one of the most professional, friendly, and accommodating pizza spots I’ve ever been to. The owner and staff truly go above and beyond for their customers — not just with service, but with genuine care.
I don’t eat pork and have never had a slice of pepperoni in my life. I made a special request for turkey pepperoni, and not only did they make it happen — they absolutely nailed it! The pizza came out perfect — crispy, flavorful, and easily one of the best I’ve ever had. It might not be the same as regular pepperoni, but I’ll never know… and honestly, I don’t need to. This was amazing in every way.
What really stood out was how the team took the time to listen and make sure my request was met without hesitation. That level of professionalism and kindness is rare these days.

I lived my first 22 years in upstate New York, having spent most of that time in Syracuse, where high quality NY pizza seemed ubiquous. But after moving to Colorado, I had a hard time finding good NY style pizza. I’ve always had a few favorites in the Springs (Fat Sully’s and Slice 420) and several in Denver (Famous J’s and Marquis), but I was shocked when I found this little pizza place. I ordered the 20 inch pie, pepperoni, with garlic knots the first time and a half and half (pep & cheese) with buffalo wings the second time. If you’ve ever had that feeling when your stomach is starting to burst but your taste buds aren’t ready to be done yet, that’s what it was like. Phenomenal cheese and crust. Best sauce in town. This pizza place is absolutely legit and it’s not an exaggeration to say that it’s just as good as anything I’ve had in Colorado.
P.s. we ate the entire thing before we even thought about taking pictures but a side benefit was that my kids loved drawing on the blank white pizza box!
