Tried the Hibachi and it was decent. However, chewing though the rice there were lots of hard pieces. They got burnt on the flat top. Tried the teriyaki chicken, steak and shrimp, fried rice, miso soup and salad. Absolutely hated the Miso soup, not good at all. The salad was ok, but the lettuce was like they had just washed it and was still too wet. The chicken was cooked perfectly! Their yum yum sauce was tasty. Don’t care for the ginger sauce. We also tried the cheese wontons; they were good – the sauce that came with them was disgusting. It tasted rancid. Something wasn’t right with it. We did not eat it. Which was sad because the fried wontons were pretty good, for being just cream cheese. The food was cooked with a vegetable mix which was cooked well and the sauce made it great. The bill for 2 people Hibachi and 1 sharing was >$75. Service was outstanding, the server and the chef. Prompt, respectful and attentive.

PROs: Nice location. Plenty of parking. Indoor seating. Decor was simple but pleasing. It was not busy before the dinner rush, we were seated quickly. Friendly service. The establishment is clean. The plates are ceramic not plastic. Hibachi chef was entertaining. Sake was poured (from a squeeze bottle) into guest’s mouth if they were willing. Grilled food was served all together, it was hot & fresh, and very good!
CONs: Driving through Leavenworth was not appealing to get to this place. The soup was not appetizing. Sake portions poured into guest’s mouth is equivalent to 2 shots (be careful).

We ordered Hibachi Steak & Scallops; Steak & Salmon and Shrimp & Scallops. This was the cleanliest hibachi place I’ve been too and I’ve been to many. The floors, tables and seats weren’t greasy. Windows were clean and clear.

A Warm Welcome on a Cool and Damp Afternoon

I stopped in Ichiban in Lansing, KS, today on this cool, damp afternoon for some hot tea to warm my body and bones. I was greeted with kindness and a smile from the young man at the register, who made me feel genuinely welcome.

As I sat there listening to the calm, tranquil music playing in the dining room, I looked around and found myself appreciating both the establishment and the people who own and operate it; the tea was just what I needed, and the atmosphere was perfectly inviting.

I’ll definitely be back soon to enjoy another cup and catch the dazzling Hibachi performance. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I can’t rate this place on food etc as I stood for 20min at the front door un greeted and unacknowledged. I walked to sushi bar to ask them to help with sitting at habachi and was pawned off on the incompetent person that already ignored me for 20min. She said rudely I’ll be with you in a minute and disappeared. I spoke with other customers and it was the same sentiment waiting frustrated needless to say we didn’t wait we left and went to Kansas City where they know how to handle Friday night rushes of patrons. The thing is this restaurant was 1/2 empty also so I encourage you to place someone that’s the face of your business at the front door that can multi task not disappear and seat the customers waiting versus handling the phone orders for the lazy. There was literally a door dash order in a paper sack ready to go the only bag near the register and two I’ll repeat incompetent workers couldn’t make the correlation that it was a door dash order and hand to the guy. Do better greet your customers train your employees to wear multiple hats. Learn how do damage control. Don’t ignore people standing and staring at you to help them. Treat them with a smile and address them if you need to leave you post out someone there that can seat the guests. Pathetic!

I really wanted to like this place, I wanted to know there was a good sushi place in the Leavenworth area but I was very disappointed. I ordered take out after a long day of work, and was so excited to taste it. I would have to say this was one of the worst sushi places I have had. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. We had the mini Godzilla roll, which was very mushy and uninviting, the deep fried portion tasted like it was fried in old oil, even the side of wasabi was tasteless. We also had a very simple Philadelphia roll and the one with Mango, none of it was good, I am very sorry to say I will not be back.

My kids had so much fun seeing the fire and eating their favorite foods. My only down side is they didn’t have a soy free soy sauce (my daughter is allergic. ) And most everything here has soy sauce. BUT they did their best to make something yummy she could eat which was very kind! Next time we will be trying hibachi bc my kids seemed VERY interested in the fire lol

This was our first visit, but won’t be our last! We were impressed with our service, portion sizes, and prices. The steak and shrimp were hot with fresh vegetables and fried rice! The soup and salad were also delicious!

First time customer ordered via doordash at noon. My food arrived quickly. Big portion for the pricing. I’ve had Hibachi multiple times. I’m not a fan of this location food. The Hibachi Steak and Chicken, Fried Rice or the cheese wontons.

Great food, reasonable proces for a hibachi experience and kind flexible staff! The sushi is always so fresh, great size and affordable options. The hibachi section is a tight fit comfortable seating and space and very loud; however the experienced cooks provide great entertainment and makes for an overall ok spot to attend under the circumstances of this particular city. Glad this facility is in the area for date night or business lunches. Sushi is the best ❤️
