This place is amazing. Hesitate to get the word out of it will get too busy. Easily the best place around likely in the state. Being a chef myself I can appreciate the scratch nature of the executive chef’s dishes. Never having eaten there and have cooked probably 100,000 steaks I opted for fish and shrimp. His preparation of the dish was spot on. I grew up cooking fresh shrimp on the coast and either someone growing up the same or someone veryyyy well trained would know how to grill shrimp like that. So we got to talking and his résumé is rather extensive and it shows. I can’t get back there soon enough. My hat is off to them! Keep up the excellent work and I will see you soon! His version of an Alfredo was close to how we do it, you will not be disappointed there either. All in all the best money spent for a meal short of making a long drive or flight. Our server was excellent warm inviting and full of wonderful suggestions.

Nestled Inside one of Hobbs oldest hotels, Hobbs Family Inn. We ate here on July 20 for my mans birthday. Steaks, moist, juicy, chok full of flavor! Best in town! The chefs are front and center getting down. Sharon always keeps the drinks flowing and salads fresh! All staff is amazing here! You can visit the Derek Lounge right through the next door.

Mich better than i thought, service was great, waitress was funny, steak was amazing, the staff was nice and let us actually talk to them. I have to say everyone was great. I don’t have one thing bad to say. Don’t be shocked by the location asI was when I areived the first time. Just go inside and have a friendly seat.

What a place! Awesome Steak.. had the Saxony 12oz ribeye.. had the grill people grill me up some green chili..as seen it was fabulous and tasty. I’m sure a lot of locals known this place. Searched on the web for “Best Steaks in Hobbs NM”..Saxony popped up number one.. I see why..Owners please don’t change anything! Atompshere is laid back.. went early before 1800..then it started to get busy!. On their web site it’s states reservations recommend.. was single so if you go early you may beat the crowd.. price very reasonable. Will highly recommend the Saxony to all who ask about a good place for a steak. Service was AWESOME! Friendly and knowledge waitress..its worth the Time and Money!!

This is now a pasta only restaurant but it is amazingly good. The bread and noodles are all made fresh. I posted the new menu. They are working on adding things to the menu such as burgers and sandwiches. The service here is amazing and both of the owners are great.

Absolutely phenomenal! Best steak I’ve ever had, cut like butter it was so tender and juicy. The asparagus was cooked to perfection not all stringy like you get most asparagus. There was nothing left on that plate when I was done. Great atmosphere it’s a little confusing from the outside since since it’s tucked into the hotel but don’t let that stop you. I will make it my goal to come back to this place if I pass through here again!

I haven’t found such consistently good steaks anywhere else in the Permian Basin except for Midland-Odessa. Steaks are aged, cooked to perfection and with great tasting sauce. On top of that, great pricing, nice waiting staff, and a good crowd. All of which is difficult to find out here as well. Highly recommended and will recommend dressing appropriate.
