The Italian Beef & Sausage Sandwich is a lot of meat. Highly recommend to add hot pepper to the Italian Beef, and order jous on the side for to-go.

Went through the drive thru. Line was short and food was handed off quickly. Orders were all correct. Seems like the prices have gone up a bit, but that’s the same everywhere. Food was very good and fries were nice and hot. I had Italian sausage and fries. Very tasty.

We were at Portillos Friday February 27 after our basketball game. My friends and I were celebrating my birthday. There was a minor accident in the parking lot so there was some chaos. The manager handled everything so well and even gave us a cake for my birthday. I am a Portillos stockholder and wish all managers were like this.

We always stop here when I go home because I miss it so much! It’s an icon and I remember going there when the only one was the original in Schamburg!
Unfortunately, this time they forgot all about my entire order! Don’t ask me how! But we ordered, at the counter, got our cups, drinks, ketchup, sat at a table and waited for our number to be called and I watched others go get food, carry orders out. People that ordered before me, after me, I told myself that they ordered something easy to make, (easier than a couple hot dogs, Italian beef and fries). But after 25 minutes I finally went up to the counter, which was not too busy, and tried to get the attention of the staff. I hate that cell phones are such a distraction but they are and that’s what was keeping employees from noticing and then hearing me. Finally someone asked what i wanted. Yes, “what do you want?” And I said my order number, was told that order was a long time ago, I said trust me I know but it never came out, a little bit of a disagreement for a minute and finally one employee came over and asked for my receipt. She looked and right at the end of the hot dog line two dogs and the beef were sitting. Mind you it had been almost a half hour. I was given my cold food without an apology, without a “my bad”, “oops”, nothing. My fries got left out. But since there was just a verbal disagreement I figured I was going to come out on the losing end of asking for my fries. So my kids and I ate the cold food, cleaned our table, and left.
I’m very sad to see how down hill this location had gotten. There’s another on the other side of town, maybe it’s Batavia. If you have extra time it may be worth it to go over there instead

Ordered a beef, takeout, and that stuff was drier than a nuns you know what. No juice. Skimped on peppers too. Come on guys.

A very busy location in St Charles on North Ave,I went for their tasting of a few items off their catering menu.
Started with the Chopped Salad which was delicious followed by their famous Italian Beef sandwich with hot peppers and of course a piece of their Chocolate Cake. All were very good. They also had pasta and meatballs but I took a pass because I had to buy a Chicago Dog ,(NO KETCHUP) and Fries.

Portillo’s has become expensive and the food isn’t that great. I can tell that the Italian beef has gotten smaller with barely any beef and the chopped salad is barely filled. The salad was watery and the little amount of chicken seems very processed. Not worth the money. $34 for two people.

First time here and it was fantastic. I ordered the beef and sausage sandwich, fries and the croissant beef and cheddar sandwich. Both sandwiches were fantastic! I would definitely come here again. I had cheese sauce on the side which I poured on the sandwiches as I ate them – VERY delicious! Next time I’m in Chicago, I will visit here again!

A good experience while in the area. I had the garden hot dog my wife had the regular Chicago style. Both were very good. The staff was super friendly and helpful.
