We just went to Round the Bend for my wife’s birthday dinner. The Round the Bend cut is phenomenal. The rib cap was some of the best seasoned and evenly cooked meat I’ve had in a while. Old fashioned(Bulleit Rye) was solid. The Winter Spice drink was very good too. The kids had the steak kids meal, and their steaks were good quality and cooked medium rare through and through. Great job guys!

I had heard a lot about this place, but hadn’t had a chance to visit until recently (January 2026).

Im sure its a decent place for locals to eat if they dont want to make the trek into the city for something better.

Our salads had obviously been pre-made and placed in a cooler, I would estimate for several days. Lettuce was wilty and watery as it started to break down.

I had filet with hash browns, wife had shrimp with baked potato. The steak was the highlight of all of that, I would say it was flavorful and tender. It was overcooked for what I asked (I wanted med-rare). But, it was pretty good.

The shrimp were probably about the same as you’d get at Long John Silvers.

All in all, the only reason I’d go back is if we are out in the middle of nowhere and other places are too busy or someone in the car is having a diabetic attack and they need food the minute im driving by.

If you want better service and food in a casual atmosphere, I’d suggest the Drover in Omaha.

Excellent steak and prime rib. The staff work well together and are knowledgeable and friendly. The service is outstanding. It’s loud but my husband and I could still have a conversation without yelling. The seating was really comfortable. The wait was about an hour so we had appetizers at the bar which worked out fantastic. They were delicious too. We had the firecracker wontons and one nut. It was different than expected. It you like fried foods, you’ll like them. This steakhouse is definitely worth a trip. They have a ballroom that looked like a great size for private group parties too. You know a place is worth the trip when you go on a frigidly cold evening around 6pm with snow in the forecast, thinking if will be slow, and the place is still packed.

Finally made our way to Round the Bend. Arrived around 4:30 on a Friday night and we were seated right away. Ordered drinks and appetizers. Hubby and I split a half sack and our son had cheese curds (we also enjoyed those). The half sack is a small portion of fresh, tender testicles. They were very good.
I ordered prime rib, as did our son. It was tender and flavorful. The Brussels sprouts were quite tasty as well. My baked potato was just ok. Hubby ordered coconut shrimp. The shrimp were large and they gave a generous amount. The dipping sauce for the shrimp was a little too sweet for my liking.

Stopped in for a late lunch. Sat at the bar, had a burger (whiskey burger?) and fries. The house made BBQ sauce is AMAZING!! Burger was fresh with lots of flavor. Bartender/waitress was friendly, knowledgeable, and provided great service! Even helped me pick out a couple ribeyes and filets.

Food and service was superb! Waitress was friendly and took time to explain food selections. Don’t pass on the horsie sauce…it’s good with steak too! They don’t take reservations so arrive early, still expect a wait, and be cool if the prime rib runs out — it happens. 🙂

First time eating here. We had about a half hour wait to be seated as they were really busy. The wait was well worth it. The sirloin steak was so tender and the flavor was awesome. The waitress was so nice and attentive. Will definitely make the hour drive to go back.

Hannah O was a great server! We went for my Daughters Birthday! Steaks were cooked perfectly. The sirloin for 2 was spot on! Great deal for a steak and 4 sides. The breaded chicken sandwich was huge!!

Pretty cool place. Busy. We started off with the rocky mountain oysters and they were good but was expecting a Lil more flavor than just the breading. I also had the 12oz ribeye, loaded baked potato, house salad and dinner roll I absolutely can’t complain it was cooked perfectly it was a delicious meal. Service could have been a Lil better but when your busy your busy.
