I saw this place on a TikTok post and I also saw it in the Mountain Island Facebook group something about they moved because they’re lease unexpectedly and unfairly terminated on them at their previous location and they had to relocate, so I wanted to give them some support. it was a Friday night around 6 PM and there was plenty of seating. The owner seated us at a booth and we looked at the wine list and I saw that they had chicken lollipops as appetizers so I asked for them and a Taj Mahal beer. I loved the beer, it was $15 but heck you don’t get a chance to drink a beer like that very often. chicken lollipop delicious it was kind of like a mix between curry drumsticks and General Tsao’s chicken lol but it was very good!!
I asked the owner what was the dish he was the best at because I honestly didn’t know what to get and I didn’t want something I had already had before elsewhere. He asked if I liked lamb. I said I loved lamb… then he said then the Johlwala was his best thing he made. So it wasn’t long before he brought out our dinner and wowww, it is now going to be on our weekly circuit!
For dessert I saw that they had mango lassi shakes and I asked him to bring me one and I wish they would’ve brought me two because it was so good.

Great quality of fresh food and very tasty! The naan bread is the best I’ve ever had! Good selection of food with a small salad bar too. We had the buffet and will definitely be back. One star off for how burnt the chick was but that’s probably just my preference. Customer service is top notch. Love this addition to this side of Charlotte!

Good food. Tandoori paneer was soo good! The chow mein noodles were just okay. The color on the momo was concerning but it tasted great! Liked all the items we ordered.

Y’all come hungry and enjoy this scrumptious new addition to the neighborhood

On my first visit, I enjoyed the Gobi Manchurian as well as the Chicken Keema Mutter curry, all with a side of garlic naan. Everything was delicious and presented in sizable portions, which you could always enjoy family-style provided y’all can agree on the spice level (1 to 10). There’s plenty of vegetarian options, though a protein choice of tofu, paneer, chicken, shrimp (or a combo those) can be added to basically every dish on the menu.

I’ll definitely be back to try the Sunday buffet—it looks substantial and is always the best way to discover new faves while sampling the classics.

The vibe here is clean and cozy with lots of seating options and a friendly, attentive staff. Big screen TVs at the bar as well as a solid Indian beer selection may just turn this place into my kind of sports bar!

Stopped by this place on our way back from Atlanta. What a delightful place! The owner Krishna dai came by himself and gave the absolute best customer service. We had chicken jhol mo:mo, jhol was delicious and mo:mo was juicy. I love ample jhol on my jhol momo and was not disappointed. It was refreshing to see a cozy Nepali place thriving well. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely divine food and the staff were so friendly! We called ahead to check about having dogs on the patio and they were also lovely on the phone. The Chicken Tikka Masala is the best I’ve had in ages, same with the Garlic Naan! The Samosa Chat was also phenomenal, the tang from the yogurt on top definitely elevated the flavor. Can’t wait to go back and try many more things!

The menu is an orchestra of flavors. The owner was patient and helpful as we were a bit overwhelmed with options. We did a sampler platter for two to really experience the menu. It was perfect. The chicken lollipops were so good, that we ended up ordering a catering sized pan for superbowl sunday. They were a crowd favorite. This gem is such a lovely addition to the area. I hope they stick around.

It’s so great to have quality Indian & Nepali food in the Mountain Island area. The garlic naan is genuinely among the best I have ever had. The quality is consistent and excellent.
I would highly recommend the Chicken Til and the Hot Garlic Chicken Momo.
They have great vegetarian options as well.

I love this place!
The owner and his staff are lovely, accommodating, and friendly.

Food is wonderful! Spice levels are reasonable. Johl Momo and Kashmiri Naan are some of my favorites! Wonderful selection of curry with great portion sizes.

If you have never had Himalayan or Nepali cuisine dont hesitate to try Everest Bistro! You wont regret it! (:

Every part of my experience was incredible. We showed up sometime around 1:45. We didn’t realize there was a buffet. We thought that by then probably we wouldn’t want the buffet, so we planned to just order off the menu. But we said we’d look at the buffet anyway. We also said that my husband can’t have any dairy products, so we figured he wouldn’t have many options on the buffet.
Instead, the man who I think is the owner walked us through everything, and said he would bring out more. When it’s less busy, they don’t refill the buffet automatically, because they don’t want the food to just sit there not being eaten. But medium size portions of every single dish was brought out while we were there. Between us, we tries everything, and everything was so great. Also, he brought us out a large portion of naan just for my husband that didn’t have any butter on it so he could have it.
Everything was really so wonderful.
