The food selections was great. Found some uncommon dishes to try. But some of the dishes weren’t flavored enough. The chicken especially. Or the beef Wellington I found was kinda dry. The salad bar had high variety, but selections were mid. The Cajun style food on the hot bars were really good.
Despite some of the downsides. I would still come here since it’s nearby and the prices are great. I would choose to come on the weekends for the all day buffet. Good deal probably better food.

We had river buffet as dinner, after a driving day from Harrisonburg to Charlotte. It’s a super solid Chinese buffet with a great selection of dishes. Flavor is good on most of the dishes we tried and we are specifically super impressed with their sushi selection. (They even have salmon/tuna sashimi pieces)
At 16.99 a person, you really can’t go wrong with this place. We will definitely be back next time we visit Charlotte.

My son and I had dinner here yesterday evening and it’s such a fantastic spot! Their buffet ensures that you’ll run out of capacity to eat before you run out of options, way too many great choices to list! We really liked their sushi, and I was especially impressed with their crab rangoons, best I’ve had in a very long time! Their lo mein was really great too, and the prime rib was tender and flavorful. Our server, Yao, was amazing. Really sweet and very attentive. In fact, their whole staff never stopped moving, always cleaning up, bussing, and restocking things that were low. She brought refills for our drinks before they were out without us having to ask, and bussed our plates every time we stepped away from the table, even got us full refills to go before we left. Overall an awesome place, exactly what we were looking for. We’ll certainly be back!

Great food and great atmosphere. Our family of seven decided to try here for lunch and this buffet did not disappoint. The food was fresh and tasty and was constantly being replenished. My favorite was the white fish and fresh salad. I would definitely visit again.

The hibachi was really good you had an option of a bunch of raw veggies and a protein of choice. The sushi bar was actually very impressive there were so many options. I think my favorite was the plantains. They were so good! Mac and cheese wasn’t bad either. I’m glad they had a bunch of fresh fruit to choose from that was nice. Cheesecake and banana pudding were just OK. The desserts were a little dry not gonna lie.
Service was also great, younger Asian guy he said he’s been there for about 5 months. We didn’t catch his name but he was so friendly there was a party of 7 of us and he made sure all our drinks were filled we had silverware etc.

When you walk in, it feels just like a buffet until they start talking sideways to you. They are terrible with customer service. I’m sitting here right now writing this review. It’s 12:58pm and I now have refused to eat at this establishment. We joined a birthday party in the party room. Where which we were told to pay before sitting down. We did. We then were harassed by two servers asking if we paid, where is our ticket as if we didn’t just pay before sitting down. I need the staff here to do better with their own operations and communications. Also NONE OF THE FOOD is labeled. We came for a birthday event and I have completely lost my appetite.

For a Tuesday night, they were hopping! I don’t have any real complaints. The prime rib was well passed it’s prime but I don’t think anyone noticed. Lots of choices, fresh seafood, and create your own hibachi.

This place really hit the spot for my entire family! We all raved the entire time about how good the food actually was compared to most buffets. Each one of us tried a little bit of everything and I can say that I have a few favorites . The shrimp pasta, the fried fish, the general tso chicken on top of the fried rice, the chicken on a stick, and there was a chicken dish sautéed with peppers and onions! River Buffet Grill is the perfect place to take the whole family out to eat to! 10 out of 10!
