The rich flavor of the side dishes was more than I’ve experienced anywhere else! The pintos were flavorful and the green beans were baptized in a beef broth base – no more watery green beans! I take my brisket without sauce so I tend to go the fatty route. I thought the brisket stood it’s ground pretty well. I do feel that the sides overshadowed the sauceless brisket. I’m sure the BBQ sauce would elevate the brisket’s performance. Both were still worth coming back for. There was a lot of food, in the dinner plate, which appeals to my Texan culture.

I’m giving 5 because they won’t let me give 10. Awesome food. Great service, and you will probably meet the owner. He likes to walk thru and visit. Absolutely the best green beans I have tasted, and I’m from the south. Highly recommend this place. I visited at an odd hour. It was packed by the time I left.

Great BBQ! (AND if you just want those “burnt ends”… then that can be all yours. ✨) Brisket, very tender, and ribs have been smoked to a deep flavor. Would have been a full five for everything, but price is just a bit too high. All in all… A good stop.

This place has top notch BBQ! Not top notch for Seminole but top notch period. Their sliced brisket and ribs are moist a smokey. The rub is excellent. Also their pinto beans and ham could be a stand alone meal, they are that good. I’m not big on the their BBQ sauce, it just not that good, but thankfully the meat is so flavorful I don’t need it.

A hidden gem!
The service was phenomenal. All the employees went out of their way to make our experience at the restaurant amazing. The food was also amazing. I loved the different bbq sauces and sides. The collard greens were especially delicious (and I don’t normally like collard greens). The potato salad is one of my favorite things I tried. I will be returning for another pulled pork sandwich in the future !

Stopped by to eat and ordered the cat fish with cole slaw and hush puppies. It was hands down the best cat fish i have ever eaten. Will definitely return for the pulled pork, corn nuggets and baked potato next time. SO DELICIOUS. 10 out of 10.

I came here with a group of about 40 people on a church mission trip in the area. We like to go out for a barbecue night while we are in town, and Hog’s is absolutely one of the best if not the best barbecue joint I’ve been to on one of these trips.

We called ahead and they were nice enough to block off about half the restaurant for us to ensure our group could sit together. We did try to eat early so as to not interfere with a dinner rush.

I had the 3 meat platter with brisket, ribs, and the jalapeño sausage, with a loaded baked potato and fried okra for a side, and it was delicious. I was also able to sample the turkey, pulled pork and fried catfish, which was also fantastic. The sauce on the tables was really good as well. The staff was friendly, helpful, and diligent in getting our large party taken care of.

Overall, I had a great experience and I hope to hit Hog’s again when I’m passing through Seminole.

An additional note, they do have a sign stating that they use peanut oil for their fried foods. I have a peanut allergy and so does my wife, who was on the trip with me. We did not have any allergy issues with the food, as peanut oil used for frying is refined peanut oil and lacks the protein that acts as an allergen.

Brisket was great. Had flavor and tender. The amount of meat was enough for me. The sides are good. Potatoes salad is mustard base. Okra was fresh and hot and good. We did not order French fries, but the orders were hot and large. Full and satisfied when we left.1

This was our first time going to a BBQ joint since we moved from KC. Hog’s did not disappoint. The brisket was amazing and the sweet sauce tasty. The owner and staff were all friendly. We have our new BBQ joint.
