Delicious food and a calm atmosphere! The chicken skewers were incredible, and the Creme Brulee was perfectly creamy and sweet! Very upscale both in environment and price, but well worth it for the experience!

This location has seen a few owners in the past. The food was always good- maybe not stellar, but good. It was always worth the trip from our home in Vermillion to Yankton to eat at “The Landing”…then “River’s Edge”…and now “Akasha World Kitchen”. About “Akasha World Kitchen”- WOW!! Thank you, thank you, thank you for being here! What an imaginative menu! Elk or bison ravioli-really?! Pheasant breast!! Truly a celebration of South Dakota! Things were a little shaky when they first opened as they were training and creating the menu but the staff has landed and found their way. I started with the mussels (delish) and for dinner I chose the scallops which I will do again as they were seared to perfection and accompanied by a generous serving of angel hair pasta in a lovely parmesan cream sauce. Plate presentation was beautiful as are the table settings. This is fine dining where you can wear jeans. Akasha World Kitchen was badly needed by the restaurant-going public in the Vermillion (land of a thousand coffee outlets) and Yankton area. We’re glad you’re here!!

Really nice surprise: European style, subtle friendly service, perfectly balanced flavors, and ideal size portions with good and unusual wine selection. Thank you/
